Trend: KS, i think got this perception from observing the leaders (who usually set the Trend for) of the masses. the leaders of the masses, you know, are very intelligent, vociferous, and nitpicky (i think they need to have these qualities to be leaders). eventho' his understanding is based on probably one person (statistically invalid), his perception is not very off the mark.

hihi:-),
Don't you think "Trend" itself is nothing but perception of the people and not usually intended by the trend-setter?Since this perception obeys the law of the chain with the weakest link the perception is always bound to be attacked.
Intelligent people use the weak link appropriately(or inappropriately) to advocate and be consistent with their preferences.What I'm saying is if KS uses this weak link principle more effectively he could promote his/her preference more intensely.
In a thread like this, it is better for me to try to be abstract than trying to be clear.
BTW, "nitpicking" in a sense could mean attention to detail which enables one to iron out the kinks.
Anyway coming to the topic, I liked "oru sundari".
The dialogues tend to rob me of the continuity to enjoy the flow of the tune.If someone can edit the song to leave out the dialogue ..(I wish).Besides , when I'm going to watch it in a movie the dialogues wouldn't have the natural effect(spontaniety) as a continuation of the story/plot b'cos I would have already heard it so many times.
The song by Karthik is melodious but reminds me (little bit in the pallavi)of his previous song for IR(Kaathe Kaathe).Others have the potential to grow on me.
When I listen to the song by Bhavathaarini I can easily visualize Bhagyaraj and Meena dancing.
I'm not trying to nitpick here, just attention to detail.

hi trend: if you restrict your postings to be like the above, you can become one among us, the masses, instead of trying to be a leader. be positive and talk about the music (which you claim to be "suggesting" others to do) instead of the musician and the audience - not that others dont do (an ex., normal man's reference to the "masses"), but you have made it to be your exclusive activity. it was a pleasant surprise to see you comment on the songs than on the posters. keep it going. best wishes.

hihi:-),
Digression:
"trying to be a leader"
That's an accusation.But I think I will let it pass.
"be positive and talk about the music (which you claim to be "suggesting" others to do) instead of the musician and the audience"
I don't see music,musician and audience as three different entities.There's only one thing "The soul of music".The musician and audience are also intricately inclusive in this.
"you can become one among us,"
I thought I was already one amongst you all.But I surely don't want to come here and bow my head and say "Yes, Sir" consistently in a unqualified manner.
All,IMO.

* liyilae therivathu...
* paatu solli paada solli...

Digression: One reason why Ilaiyaraja did not score for Ramgopal Varma's films and started moving away from Telugu Film Industry.
Interview excerpt from Interview of
Sravanthi Ravikishore who worked with Vamsi and Ilaiyraja for Ladies Tailor, Maharshi .
You used to have had Ilaya Raja as the music director in all the movies till Jaitra Yatra. Is there any particular reason from deviating from the maestro?
I never wanted to deviate from Ilaya Raja. He is a great music director. He used to give additional life to the movie with his background music. The films like ladies tailor and maharshi had great background music. I approached him for scoring music for 'Jaitra Yatra'. He accepted the offer and took advance money. At a later point of
time, he refused to work for the film after coming to know that this film is going to be directed by debutant Uppalapati Narayana Rao. Ilaya Raja must have had some reasons.
At that time Shiva was released and it was a blockbuster. Ilaya Raja's contribution for the film in form of music is extraordinary. But for Ramu's next film, he took
(Margathamani) Keeravani as the music director. Ilaya Raja was hurt by this fact that debutant director Ramu used Ilayaraja for Shiva and then dumped him for his next film. Ilaya Raja
might have had this apprehension that Uppalapati Narayana Rao also would do the same after 'Jaitra Yatra'. Then I requested Ilaya Raja to do the background score.
But he could not accept it. I think as a professional he could not have done that to me. Nobody is dependent on anybody here. No one is indispensable. We are playing the game of 'Survival of the fittest'.
