IR vs ARR -- Imagining how would IR Compose a ARR Song and Viceversa

I use to wonder when I listen to an IR's songs like "Kalaivaniyee... from sindhubairav", how would ARR compose the same song. The answer I got
myself is probably the "Marghazi Thingal Allava...song from Sangaman." Similarly when I think of "Ore Naal Unai Naan Nelavil Parthadhu.." song of IR, I think of "Vennilave Vennillave...from Minsara Kanavu" of IR

But I feel that there are some unique songs like "Sorgame Enrallum...", "Poomalaye...Thollserava.." "SonthamVandhadhu..Vandhadhu...". "Mannil Entha...", "PovOma...Urkolam..." which I find it very difficult to find an equivalent or a derivative of it by ARR. On similar grounds, I find it difficult to find an IR equivalent of "Malargalee...Malargalee...", "Putham Pudhu Boome Vendum...", "Thee...Thee. Thithikum Tee" (esp the style of his composing mixing Carnatic Swarams in Pop music).

I would like your opinions and view to felicitate this thread.

  I agree with you. Another song could be hEy unnai thaanEy. But this song has a lot of complicated bass guitar work which is absent in kalluri saalai. the bass track in the latter is simple.

  No my comparison was not based on ragas ONLY. For eg, the very first pair I proposed was "Ninnukori varnam" and "malargalE malargalE". They are set in entirely different ragas.

  I am just listening to "Azhagaana Nampaandi" from Rex's site ! First time I am hearing this song. Thanks for the lead man ! Evvalavu sandhoshama irukku theriyuma indha paata ketka ! Man, every time I think I've heard all of IR's best songs, something like this pops up :-) Of course, credit go to Rex too for putting up this wonderful song !

  ARR is has just based his new song on one of the classical song of IR in Muthalvan. Yes IR's 'Thalaiyai Kuniyum Thamariayae' sung by SPB, Uma Ramanan is ARR's 'Azhakana Ratsasiye' sung by SPB, Harini.
  
  "Azhagaana Nampaandi" is also close to the song "Oru Malai Chandiran Mani Theaduthu" sung by Minmini, SPB in Unnai Vazhthi Padukirean.

  Another thing is like I mentioned IR copies his own songs after a while also like for e.g. 'Thalauthae Vaanam' by Jayachandrean, Janaki is close to 'Oru Kanam Oru Yugam' Janaki, IR.
