Folks,
Please check out the ARR interview at the filmfare site,go to interviews in the Sep issue here-
http://www.filmfare.com
The interview actually resolves a few doubts I've always had, like for example how does ARR keep track of whats going on musically etc.

Friends,
I agree with Srikanth on one point - Yes, it is true that magazines like FILMFARE don't have the right/talent/attitude to interview creative people.
Let me narrate an episode - a year back, the Magazine STARDUST carried an incriminatory article on Kamal Hassan - it contained all kinds of verbal rubbish one can ever think of - in the next few months, word went around that Kamal was thinking of suing the magazine - SILENCE - in the very next issue, there was an interview of Kamal, where everything was clarified -
THough I have not read ARR's interview, I guess he would have been diplomatic in giving answers.
Anyway, I shall browse that interview and get back soon.

well said, madhan. for all we know, ARR might not
have used half the words which appeared on the
interview. people here are judging ARR in a
different scale than other music directors. the
MD of bol radha bol said he was inspired by a
sound made by his servant which led to thu thu
thu thuthuthaaraa(raakamma kaiya thattu). i felt
like slapping him. similarly, several times annu
malik has defended his copied compositions. why,
in an interview, even kamalhaasan said that
avvai shanmugi was visualized before doubtfire.
so, i think we should not make a big fuss about
ARR's statements. his creativity is far better
than others(not in the league of IR though).

Filmfare is a decent, reasonable film magazine : much different from garbage like Stardust, Movie, CineBlitz etc.
After All Filmfare is from Times of India.

Srikanth,
Since you have dragged IR into the picture and said that he has also copied, can you give some examples?
