  Producer / director(s) / Music director of 'The Real Salute' are from tamil nadu - So I naturally believe that they made this song first in tamil and then translated into other languages., That means, whatever poetic beauty you are talking about, should have come from IR first and the translated into other languages.,
  
  Then, how do you say the original female version would've bettered ARR's song ? UngaLukkellaam IR-ai ethaavathu kaaraNam solli thittaRathilee oru santhoosham, thats it., When you can't find fault with the composer IR, you find it from singer IR, poet IR - even producer IR.,
  
  Tell me, whats your next argument "Anuradha Shriram should have sung 'Nallathoor veeNai seythee' song from Bharathy and thamizhk kuyil Sadhana Sargam should have sung 'Engee sellum inthap paathai' from Sethu - in that case, they would have become supppppppppppper hits" ?

  Folks,
  The Real Salute Song by IR is just another classical creation of IR. I just saw it in SunTv thro' www.numtv.com (which I subscribe to). The producer of this short movie said that they selected IR's voice for this song in Tamil because they found IR's voice to be the best fit with the right kind of emotions. This is another testimony to his voice.
  
  On this occasion, I would like to bring to your attention that this is not the very first time IR's voice weighed over the professional singers'. Yesudas was supposed to sing the "Janani Janani..." song in the movie Thaimoogambikkai, after listening to the track sung by IR. Superstar Rajinikanth happened to be in the recording theatre and after listening to the track he suggested to the producer that he prefers to have IR sing the sing as it fits the situation very well with the right emotions. So no further arguments, the case is rested!.

  After a long search for this piece, I found the video here, http://www.kiranbedi.com/video/index.html it's a hindi version in real video, bear with the quality of the video which is over ruled by the content, a touching tune by IR. It will be great if someone can post the tamil version (or any South Indian Version, which is sung by IR himself)
  
  Hindi Version is sung by Sadhana Sargam and IR renders it in all south indian languages.

  Thanks for the link. Though the production value and direction of this video by Malar Networks is quite amateurish, the moving music score more than made up for it.
  The only problem was the poor encoding of the Real Video by Kiranbedi.com
  I am looking forward to a better encoded version of this amazing song. Thanks again.

  Neels..the direction is not good..it is the music that props up the film. I just cant seem to understand peoples taste when they say IR's singing/song is not good. I thought it had good lyrics and involved singing..IR matched the music for an already shot movie (hey rAm). here he seems to have matched the lyrics to the picturisation (??)..(please notice the lyrics when a political flag is brought down and the national flag is raised..un sumayai irakki unnai ahAyaththil parakka viduvEn or something to that effect)..
  (Again, the direction is bad :( Even 'sEthu' bAlA is overrated !!)
