In response to the topic: Neither! It is the oomph of the actress (portraying the song) and the stepsulu of the actors and extras. If you have any doubt check the Top 10 list for the last 5 years.

Aiya Unmai Therinjavarae,
The discussion forum in TFM is for persons who are genuinely interested to discuss in a sensible way. Everyone knows there are various factors that make the cine songs receptive. Still we also know that the Lyrics and Music are the two components that are considered to be most important factors. The idea of this discussion is to bring out which one is playing a vital role. Please try not to deviate from the main stream.
Sampath,
If you have nothing to do, don't do it here. This is not an advertisement zone.

Hello everybody,
Interesting topic.
"Music & Lyrics" they are like Husband and Wife. For a better family who is important? Husband or Wife? For me both of them are needed. They have equal responsibility. Similarly Music & Lyrics.
Some time back Kannadasan, Vaali, Vairamuthu gave good Lyrics. MSV, Mahadevan gave light music supporting the Lyrics. Those periods Lyrics dominated. Offlate Ilayaraja started giving melody music and then variety. Then the trend changed, POP & RAP came. People wanted or the Music directors liked they started giving fast music which dominated the lyrics. Then the tunes dominated.
But, the tune based songs got popularity fast. In the same speed they wen away from the people. Still everyone likes the evergreen old songs for the reason Music and Lyrics go hand in hand.
More soon
