Just how far do you trust Sify.com's articles:-)). Dum Dum Dum is the biggest hit of Tamil New Year releases and Bhadhri is nowhere near it in collections...especially after the initial week. Just check most other sites.

Probably it is too late to ask this question. I was watching the ARR live in LA on Video. The song 'Nahin Saamney" was sung by HariHaran. I thought that in the original movie tracks (Taal) it was sung by Sukhwindra Singh. Why did HH sing it on stage while SS was available ?

One more. Who is the young lady with short hair and glasses, who hummed the interludes in "sunta hai" on stage ? She also sang "chaiyya chaiyya". I though that she was Richa Sharma. But looks like she is Dominique.

Ganesh..thanks for the posting on webber's interview. It is pretty impressive that he thinks so highly of Rahman.

Raja fans...may be webber has not listened to IR's compositions(what BS..saying rahman is good..makes u wonder what is he smoking..right!!)...some of you should mail him IR's best....or have u already done that..;-)

Webber is producing the musical..so he has to hype ARR bit too..its marketing. I can also understand why Webber likes ARR, ARR follows a grammar/idiom very familiar/current in the west. But his melodies are Indian, perfect fit for the job. More than all these he is #1 commercially successfull MD THROUGHOUT India.

Hariharan sang Nahim Saamne in Taal. There is a misprint on the cassette (or CD) cover. He was only singing his own song on stage.

I too heard that UDAYAA is back on the roll.........N many have said the songs r very good.there r 5 altogether..........atcually udayaa shooting has been completed.........!its releasig in august.........but the songs will be out soon.........hope this vijay-arrahman combination will create a big impact!

Its a typo error - heroine is 'Boomika' - they missed tamil letter 'Boo' in the beginning. :-)

S T S, 'Miha' sounds good, Be careful, some tamil director may use this name for his next movie/heroine ;-)

the title song seems to be a raagamalika..comprising kalyani , shanmukha priya ( correct me if am wrong here..) and brindavana saaranga...is it to sound as such in the film or is it how it is because sudha raghunathan sang it..?

yeleleo song-sheer torture.i dont know what they were trying to acheive making sudha sing yelelo a thousand times in carnatic tones.i thought it will turn out to be something surprising towards the end.a big let down.

i dont know brindaavana saaranga at all.. the last bit sounds characteristic of a carnatic kutcheri, feels like this is a very popular raagam for this style of singing - dheem thana thana... (is this called thillaana?)

There may be some mika in Hindhi, But I am sure Boomika is the heroine for Mani's next movie - atleast according to tamil magazines and ezines., Dinakaran made a typo error and thats it.,

Udayya is most expectedly releasing in June!!!

u can read the interview of Azhaga Perumal, director of Dumm Dumm and Udayya at indiainfo.com
He talks a lot about the movie Udayya in the interview. He said that Udayya is 80% completed including the songs, probably have to work on post production

Dinakaran says music is by ARR and IndiaInfo says KR. If it is KR, then ARR will be really finding it hard. There are already news that KB goes to KR/YSR for his next venture.

Another Major Disappointment from ARR!!

Mansukkul Oru Pural (S.P.Balasubramaniam, Sadhana Sargam) is an exception. I am really impressed by Sadhana's improvement in Pronounciation!!
