Arun,
Don't listen to this review... I have seen this movie and personally felt that this is shankar's best effort so far... its the best commercial movie I have seen so far (its commercial definetly), with a very fast screenplay and very nice picturizations... A movie definetly worth watching..

Dear
Ravi/R
"Mudhalvan tunes are widely preceived to be good. But this writer thinks otherwise"
well even most of the songs(Lifted songs to be precise) by Deva are also percieved widely to be good (god save them) , does that mean everybody should like, approve his songs,(be it Deva or ARR)
it is a nice review by the writer about the movie as a whole plus comments about ARR's music in comparision to Shankar's previous films,
In my personal openion, the songs are not even close to any of the previous Shankar's movies, they would be or probably they are hits (transiently like most of the mediocre songs ARR producing these days , i mean including the crappy "Hadh" and Pukar songs),
as reviewed by MS, the"kurukku " song sounds like the "pardesi pardesi" song of "Raja Hindustani" another crappy movie which turned out to be a blockbuster in 1997,
Except perhaps the "alagana Raatshasiye" that too because of SPB/Harini's nice rendition , the rest of the other songs, are very mediocre or llike one of those copied songs of DEVA (I mean songs copied by Deva), I remember somebody claimed the "shakalakka " was the great , difficult to play, and things like that , , in my honest openion the least listenable song of the album is this
Can any body just throw some info.. how this movie is doing or did at box office, I know I read it was one of the hits of Diwali 99 releases, more due to some sort of controversies... But was /is it really a great hit or the usual , ok one more Shankar movie kind of Hits

prabhudas,
ar u sure that ARR is the composer for HADH. i just can't believe it. when i heard the song 'ing lala' i thought it was some crap from a hindi music director. even the music does'nt seem to hav ARR's touch.
