"Nandhaa" by YSR

Nandhaa (*ing Surya, Laila, Rajkiran) is the 2nd directorial venture of Bala (of "Sethu" fame). Music is by YSR.

Any idea when the music album is releasing ?

  Do you want to hold up Madan's review in Kumudam as a barometer for a film's merit? If you'd seen 12B and then read the glowing review he wrote for this mediocre film, you'll understand. Not a word about the massacre of the Thamizh language by the HJ-VM duo, the "paachai, paachaiyai kelvigal.." (paachai - cockroach) and assorted other nonsense..
  
  He's another of the elitist chennai crop of critics that will pass off any hollow, neo-sophisticate attempts (favourites of this club - KB, MR, Kamal, Rajiv Menon) at filmmaking as 'remarkable' as they soothe their aesthetic sensibilities and do not affront their socio-cultural ethic.

  Actually, this is one of the best films, I've ever seen. Bala makes people think. The best things in the movie are
  1. Direction
  2. Surya's acting
  3. YSR's songs and re-recording
  4. Punching dialogues.
  
  Nobody, other than Bala, can give such a good movie. To be frank, Nandhaa is better than Sethu. The director has not done any compromise like adding a 'dappanguththu' song.
  
  I also saw Alavandhan & PP. Both fail in screen play. Kamal's acting is good. There is nothing more than that. PP looks like a Raj TV serial. ARR disappoints his fans very much (I'm saying this...'cos I like ARR's music so much).

  I agree with you - the movie is good,
  Only defect IMO is the climax being too short, Before people know what is happening, the movie ends and my friends were in real shock unable to believe that the story is over all of a sudden :-)

  Nandha - An Excellent Movie in the diwali Race & also a Different Movie
  
  Bala Has come up with another Film to leave the Impact on the People ..
  
  Each & Every Frame Is Excellent & no Scene Is Wasted.
  
  YSR has done a Brilliant Job Both in Songs as well as BGM
  
  Surya -Wow what a Splendid Performance
  
  Rajkiran,Laila All hav Acted Very NAturally
  
  & Reg Songs Munpaniya, Or Ayiram Yanai Are Fabulous..
  
  Totally Nandha is a movie To Experience Emotion,Feeling etc & not just for Entertainment..

  real shock unable to believe that the story is over all of a sudden ,
  
  yep that's damn true!!!, this such an excellent film, no indecent scenes, so realistic, but little were said about Srilankan Refugees, because being a Srilankan Tamil, I was expecting a lot of scenes about the refugee's suffering, but I was disappointed, but nevertheless, the film was outstanding, the songs were amazing, especially "Mun paniya Mudhal mazhaiya", was superbly renderd by the greatest SPB, the song "ammaa" by IR is really touching & very emotional, hats off to;
  
  Bala, YSR, SPB, IR.
  
  Surya & Rajkiran also performed well, there was little acting for laila, but she acted well as well.

  I would love to see the new climax - But have you updated all the thetres in TamilNadu with this new one ? I saw the movie in a theatre in my hometown (Attur - Salem D.t), and I am wondering whether I can see the new climax in the same :-)

  Thanks a bunch, guys! Actually, i was so pissed off seeing the comments that r flowing in for a movie which does not falls into any kind of commercial degradations. These kind of attempts should not be discouraged by the masses, atleast. Still i remember what "KUMUDHAM" wrote the review for SETHU. It ended like "periya alavil padam edukkirom enru paesikkondu irukkum periya director-kal, intha padatthai thayavu seithu paarka vaendum". I dont know the exact words but it meant the same. I know people who told me " there's no PEP in bharathy songs". I just cursed myself being with them. I am really surprised to see the mentality of the people. hhmmm... what to do?!!! malae..malae..maruthamalae songs ellaam kaettu, "superb paatu" appidinnu solla aal irukkum pothu, ulagatthai ninaitthu nonthukka vaendiyathu thaan.....
