  Any Idea abt the release of Poonthottam and Desia geetham. I am pinning a lot of hopes on the success of these movies. IR has done a good job in Poonthottam. Hope DG follows suit.

  There was a two page (roughly) article on the making of Desiya geetham with some photographs. Rambha intha padathula pudavai-la thaan varraanga-nu nonthu poi jolli irunthaan. Ippo gyabagam varuthaa? If not, check out the cinema special issue again.

  do not believe hindu's review. listen to the songs yourself.i have seen d.s.Ramanujam making statements like 'deva has tuned 6 pleasant numbers for annamalai..' etc. the hindu review unnecessarily hypes up the movie. vikatan's reviews are slightly better. the reviews at indolink.com are also OK.

  IR also score music for Arivumathi(song writer)latest two tamil movie.One film music alredy composed by IR.Another movie do not compose yet.Arivumathi said that he has find a new toucing in IR music.Arivumathi also impresed and excited with IR music knowledge.

  Poonthottam is hit.
  
  The film review was shown in the SUN TV and the film is supposed to be good.
  
  When they were talking about the music of the movie they mentioned all the songs except ponnumani(a dappamkuthhu song) all the others songs are very plesant and melodious.
  
  Reg. the background score the comment was that from now one should call IR IsaiKadavul rather than IsaiNyani.(As said in the review)
  
  Poonthottam add's one more feather to IR's CAP.

  I have nothing to do with the movies poonthottam and DG. It's just that the songs are good and i want the songs to be a hit ( they deserve it ..)

  Poonthottam has reached the 2-nd spot in the SUN TV ranking, staright on its debut. (This is quite a rarity, except in cases of Rajni movies ;)
  And it has pushed Jeans one spot below, which I think is something great for sun tv's bias towards jeans. :)

  Thanks a bunch for the timely updates. For a second i was thrilled to hear that the song was #2. But anyway atleast the movie is doing good and the songs will have most probably not have a short life.. I am getting addicted to MOV song.. Vow. the Viloin interludes are terrific.. my recent addiction after the nammoora mandhara hoove song ( hele kokile ..) . this inspite fo Hariharan struggling to keep up with the ease of Mahalakshmi.(by the way who is this maha lakshmi.?? any songs before.?)

  Yesterday was also the day Kaathalukku Mariyaathai made its exit out of the ranks. After entering the ranks several months ago...!
  I think it was at No. 1 for more than 20 weeks.

  Philips ended its reign after the 200-th week. Then, it was running sponsor-less for a few weeks. Recently Colgate has taken over. (Colgate also took over Bajaj sapthaswarangal, another prime slot on SUN TV.)

  Well !! I am not sure if they saw the right movie. But the comments are too much.. the songs are good and even though taste differs it shd'nt be such a bad remark!!!

  I think with Dharma, the movie being so trashy

  It says Shankar is fed up with ARR for
  dragging the BGM work in Jeans. So he has
  now Signed up IR for his next movie.
  
  Does anybody know, if there is any truth to
