  What do you want to convey here? As you know,this thread is only to discuss the new albums of IR as well as any related information about him.You need not have to write a long message to try impressing people about what ARR has done that IR hasn't or the other way around.
  
  There are countless threads about ARR in the same tfm page.You might find yourself more comfortable there.

  Thanks Gokul. I thought so with that Mallu tinge in her voice. Lovely song. Just hooked on to it. After all, Sethu does have two nice numbers of the eight songs.

  BTW, when is Kannukkul Nilavu going to be released over the net? Eagerly looking forward to some computer savvy IR rasigar to upload those songs. It is almost 10 days since it was released in Madras.

  I just happened to liste KN once. "chinnanch chiru kiLiye thaeyAtha veNNilave.." by chitra is the best of the album. Chitra proves adept once again here at rendering lullaby after her "en swasak kaRRe".

  That's also my personal favourite as well:-). I have to say that it truly is great to hear from KJY after so long. I liked his solo version of 'Oru naal oru Kanavu' second best.

  On first hearing, all songs are decent but none of them unfortunately overly impresses me. And also there does'nt seem to be any chart topper like 'ennai thalaata varuvaala' in this album.
  For the first time Iam getting the feeling that IR is losing interest in tamil films. he has even repeated the interlude music in the chithra song.
  first line of 'nilavu paatu' reminds me of 'aval varuvaala' from nerukku ner. Not that it is a copy or something since the rest of the song is completely different and the beat is also different. I'll still give it a few more listenings and see if the songs 'grow' on me.
  
  But still iam optimistic about Hey ram.

  That's the same feeling I had. All the songs are decent. They are pleasant to hear. But they don't have the chart topping material. For instance, in Kaathalukku Mariyaathai, there was 'Ennai Thaalaata', "O baby baby", and 'Oru Pataampoochi'. All three were big hits and were put on the radio frequently, at least, here in Canada. But none of the songs in Kanukkul Nilavu have that.

  When KM audio was none of them knew anything about that movie. None of them except the ardent raja fans appreciated the music. The movie did very well and the songs reached the masses.
  
  Overall I would say that KN is a decent album.
  
  Oru naal oru kanavu deserves to be among the charttoppers.
  When I first listened to Nilavu pattu, it reminded me of the song Aval Varuvala and ramta jogi from taal. For all you know this song might be the chart topper. It actually grows on you after repeated listening.
  
  I was dissappointed with the arrangement of Oru Nall Oru kanavu. Is Karthik Raja having a hand in this???
  Imagine this song with harmony of violins.(Typical raja style).
  
  To conclude I would say that KN songs will reach masses only if the movie turns out to be a hit!!

  IR fans can certainly expect a great deal from hey ram, at least the BGM. the re-recording is to be done in Hungary - IR and Kamal are due to leave in a couple of days - and we very well know how fabulous the score for Guru (Mal) was, played by the same chaps. (seithigalai viraivaaga tharuvathu, CRAM..Cram...cram...:-)]
  the movie release is expected only in Feb. long wait, but surely worth it.

  I cannot believe that KJY's voice has aged. I think it shows up since Desiya Geedham. Iravu Pagalai theda... konjam paavamaa irukku.

  You are not alone. I find many in this forum in many a threads referring to Karthik Raja or Yuvan Raja whenever they have some thing positive or negative to say about keyboard sections or rhythm section programming etc. It is all totally wrong.
  
  The man himself decides completely and writes down upto the last obligato as to what should be there and when and where and as usual Viji and Bharani are the KB players and Sadha is the Guitar man and Puru takes care of the complete rhythm section programming. Other wise Karthik or Yuvan's contribution is almost nil. Of course, the final stereo mixing of KN songs were done by Yuvan. Otherwise they have no role in the regular orchestra recording sessions of IR.
