  How can I seacrh and get the melodies of IR-KJY combo in last 20 years ?
  Is there any website where such searches are possible (MD+singer combo)
  I want to record IR-KJY combo but unable to get the complete list.

  NagaS: this album looks like taken from the 'Nenjinile' collection (tuned by IR,KR,YSR with singapore singers). There are some good songs in this collection but unfortunately spoilt by the mediocre singai singers :( Irfan is the only saving grace but he too is heavily inspired by hariharan.

  unga e-mail ID koduththa I can send a list of IR-KJY combo songs in .xls format...otherwise, please get into the archives & activate "IR's 1000 stars" thread to get the IR1000 file & do some sorting:-)
  
  BTW, there are a couple of KJY songs in the album 'Bharathi' which is a Y2K product:-) (Bharatha samudhAyam vAzhgavE & agginikkunjondRu kaNdEn)

  I am not sure whether both of us are talking about the same album., In KGN, I don't feel any song is spoilt by the singers., They have done a pretty good job and I would say all female singers have done it very well. As you said, Erfan is inspired by HH and many others, But I liked his voice. Mohan has also done a good job in 'Kaathalai gowravikkum neram'. Above all, There is no Thamizhk kolai involved in the whole album., IMO, these guys are better than Udits and Sukvinders as far as tamil albums are concerned., :-)

  Is there any shop in madras which has such computer based song selection on singer/MD facility available for recording. I heard that many of the CD/cassette shops are not encouraging this type of indiviudal song recording but force us to buy HMV or other collections

  Any idea about the release of 'KaaTRukkenna veli' Audio? I heard from one of the music stores in Salem that they released the cassette a month back. However I couldn't get the cassette from him as he said they are sold-out (!!!!). When I asked some other stores, they said they are not at all aware of such a cassette., :-)
  Anybody can clear this one for me., KaaTRukkenna veli cassette vanthaachchaa, ILlaiyaa ?

  I think u are not upto date with information...There is strike and loads of irritating stuff in TF industry..! So u are not going to get any original musical stuff from anyone ...except the audio tunes which which were done for hindi and telgu and lastly come to tamil...!Keep fooling the world as like you enjoy them!

  Happened to see Bhrathy the last week.
  
  I was a decent movie but nothing great. It was just plain narration. It really needs a lot of talent and skill to make a movie out of a real-life story. Seems our folks don't have it. IMO, the movie did not do any justice to the poet.
  
  Anyway, IR's BGM is unobstrusive and makes you sit up in few places. Four of the eight songs were picturised well. Frankly, felt that it would have been much better had there been more songs in the movie (especially being a poet's life).
  
  Noticed a small minor thing, in 'Edithilum ingu' (one of the well shot songs), raja seemed to have added more percusions at the end in rerecording. Is that the case or was I halucinating?.

  I don't think so, I think, the song comes the same way as it is in the original sound track.
  
  But, I this was the best song in the movie, interms of the situation, divinity and picturization, the scene background (on the banks of Ganges in Kasi).

  Saw the movie 'Bharathi' yesterday. It was really Bhara'theeeee' . A very different and complete insight into the poet's life. No words for IR's work. HeyRam, Sethu, Bharatheeeee - Tamil Cinemaavukku veru enna vendum - idhuthaan 'porkaalam' enbatho ?
  
  I saw the Bharathi in a video cassette. The song 'Vande maataram' was not there. Also in the 'Bharadha samudhaayam vaazhgavae' song the great interlude / saranam were missing. I felt very sad. Can someone tell me whether I missed something ? Or really in the original movie version, these things are left out... ? thanks.
