Rehman music was not suitable for "The Legend of Bhagat singh". if it was mastro then it would have become biggest hit of 20 th century

  ok, i think i put it wrongly..... what i meant was, only "SOME" are trying to pull away CREDIT from ARR, and not "MANY".... but there are "MANY" who will defend IR, when *anyone* pulls his leg.... ok :-)....

  In the same magazine cover and page number 1, there was head lines news, saying ARR is topmost musician in india today working for ALW...his music is the best and suitable for todays world.

  here is some more facts:
  if you had read the book on south indian film industry by muktha srinivasan (if not get it somewhere, a very good book) , he mentions about IR and GA, he does praise IRs abilities, everyone has to agree to it, have no doubt it.
  he also uses these words, both MDS makes sure they get the payment, they are very "Karar" in this. Payment is very important when you work with them. , I am not making it up,
  (ps:Now dont ill treat mukuta for heavens sake, he is one of the oldest producer/director, has vast amount of industry experience than most.)

  Rahuman is also a great music director. We have to give some time to see his experiments. I am a Ilarajah's fan. Even Ilayarajh respects Rahuman's music and others music. He said before in an interview " I listen to everyone's music. Because they have something to say through that. Even the bad songs have some good portion of it". So If we want to respect Ilayarajah / ARR we should respect their mentality on other people. This is not an advice. This is my thought.

  this i quoted to show that even during trial times(esp. in terms of money) IR has done free works. Also the other example pointed out by yaaro is also during such trial time only. i've heard from people saying IR had worked a lot of movies (definitely in two digits) with free of cost. Also in this same forum srikanth has said (i guess he even said that it is from an authenticated source) that IR had cut his portion of money for many movies that did shabbily in box office ( i think these were for small scale producers whom one or two lakhs were big amount).
  
  Also, regd your quote from muktha (though i didnt have a chance to read the book, im inferring from what u have said), there is nothing to imply that "being karaar in collecting money" means "not done an free services". Nowadays it is said (and is infact a truth) that ARR is paid in crores. At the same time i've read that, for alaipayudhae, Mani paid an amount lesser than or about only 20% of what ARR charges. The fact ARR is paid in crores does not necessarily contradict (or deny) the fact/info that ARR is paid only 15-20 lakhs by Mani during his(ARR's) peak period. This might be a kind of gesture by ARR to his mentor(?). But, for a A.M. Rathnam ARR is a man who is to be paid 1 or 2 crores. Does ARR compromises in such cases? Similarly is IR's case.

  I don't and cannot deny this either. I was not for implying that at all. Mine was solely to say that IR did and still(now and then) doing free service, thats it.

  kupps above is what I told., and my point was making money is the primary criteria in film music, as of today Arr has done this more than anyone else. thats all.
  
  Arr being paid in crore! ofcourse he is paid, you need to see /think why the hell he is paid?
  no one donates it to him, he has stuff and he deserves it. Producers are sure they will get back the return on investment.
  
  comon! if person has stuff , he can get why 1cr, 10cr that is his/her talent :):)
