  i am not able to listen to Shakthi FM..when i
  launch the Windows Media Player (ver 7.0), it
  tries to connect to their website (in australia??)
  but after a fe wseconds returns back "Could not
  find the file specified"..
  
  do you guys have this problem?
  if so, how to get over this?

  Maestro is also a god to all of us.His music is really very powerfull.The only worry is there is nobody to replace him in the future.Maybe I think Karthikraja can do it.We will see lah.All is not in our hand.The god is great.Thank you very much to god because has give a musical genius just like Illaiyaraja to this world.

  With viewers who compromise for movies and songs like Kushi, SAR songs and techno stuff, we can never ever get an another Kadalora Kavithaigal. For that matter no one of the current genre (including ARR) MD's can give a song like "kodiyile malligapoo".

  Re: 'kodiyilE malligaippoo' - I think we have made a cultural transition from the days of 'tender love' pioneered by BR and backed up by IR's music. So there is no more 'tenderness' in love..we have already replaced this 'sensuality/sexuality' (??). (Okay..somebody is going to say that I am getting old or just waxing nostalgic about my adolescence :) :). This is especially true in music (I cant say for movies as I dont watch them that much).

  I won't buy that Kiru. Still movies try to depict soft or tender love or whatever you call it. Take Kaadhalukku Mariyathai. The storyline depicted there was a soft one. I don't think movies depicting love as sensual/sexual has suceeded. Alaipayuthe still had a lot & lot of traces of Mouna Raagam (a movie which falls under your cadre of definition). Maybe the gramathu side love is vanished.

  I agree to you - AlaiPayuthey Looks like a poorly made 'Mauna Ragam' for me - I am not talking about story/dialogues/music .. nothing in particular, But overall the film reminds Maunaragam (Which I consider as MR's best movie till date) very much !

  Looks like IR has composed the bgm for Lajja. Does anyone know if this movie has any songs, and if yes, who has composed the songs.
  
  This is because I remember the Maestro mentioning in an interview (related to Hey Ram) that he has a policy that he would work in a movie as a whole only and not in parts. This was the grounds on which he refused Hey Ram the first time (L Sub had already composed the songs). So Kamal assigned the entire movie to IR.

  TMS about IR:
  
  There is no misunderstanding between us. He gave me many songs to sing. To establish connection with Sivaji he used me. With that, he established connection with Sivaji. Because of this he got inferiority complex.
  
  Whatever the songs given to me, people said 'TMS sang well IR's songs'. They did not say IR made TMS to sing well. So IR got inferiority complex that everyone praised TMS than him. Because of this he used other singers who did not have good voice and he also sang.
  
  Question: Even at this age Nagesh and VK Ramasamy are acting. Why are you not singing?
  TMS: I asked myself this questions to few MDs. They say you are at the peak of Himalayas. We don't want to bring you down. Just by singing new songs, we don't want to spoil your old fame.
  Also there are no suitable actors.
  
  TMS says 'Kamal, Rajini, Satyaraj, Vijaykanth are there. Do you think they don't act well. My songs will make them to act!!! Because previously I sang before the big actors act. Acting is involved in my singing. Actors used that and acted!!! Why do think these days actors can't act for my songs? These MDs don't have the guts to make me sing.
  
  Ahhhaa hahha haaa. Can't control my laugh. When TMS means to say Sivaji/MGR acted with the action mixed in the song, I am not going to talk about IR.
