MOST WANTED EVERGREEN SIRKHAZHI GOVINDARAJAN HITS.

The golden voice of the tfm era Dr.Sirkhazhi Govindarajan has sung innumerable songs for the tamil film industry. His hit songs are with the HMV company which has also released all his devotional and Classical recordings as cassettes and CDs. When one goes to the market, you find only a selected few popular ones like Philosophical film hits, Devotional film hits etc and Abhirami Andhadi, Kandar Alangaram etc. displayed. There are many more precious collections which are unfortunately stagnated in the companies due to their exceeding lists of catalogue content. The right deserving subjects do not get its due. Can we discuss of the recordings of this great artiste in terms of his songs film or classical or devotional or light or folk, and arrange for its availability without short supply in the market?

  The only urupadi voice of tamilfilms which pronounced tamil as tamil. I think God was too kind to him and took him soon because he didnt want him to suffer the torture of present singers thanglish or thamingilam in tamil films.

  There was a Bharathiyar songs LP compilation from HMV released by Sirkali and tuned by TR Papa who set a music trend those days.
  
  Oh what a ganeer voice and what a clear diction. Bharathy would be enlightened with only this sort of Gambeeram in rendering his songs! Not, the somberi sothapal stuff which makes you yawn!
  
  It used to be broadcast frequently those days. Is the CD available now? Any body? Any news?

  Can some one help me locate a audio recording (commercial / otherwise) of Tamil music drama 'Sampoorna Ramayanam' by 'Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nadaga Manram' which was in AIR some years back. It was with S.Govindarajan in the role as RAMA.

  Kripa: You're in luck! HMV has just released a 3 tape/CD collection of Bharathiyaar songs that contain Sirkazhi's songs tuned by TR Pappa.
  
  The AIR program sounds like a great recording.
  
  I used to have papanasam sivan's version of ramayanam sung by sirkaazhi - excellent recording, but not anymore.
  
  A 3 tape collection of vallalaar songs kandha kotta manimaalai is also available these days.
  
  The AIR website has a couple of seerkazhi's classical tamil songs that are incredible.

  vishwesh: if the movie you're referring to is sampoorna mahabharatham aka mahaveera bhiman I don't think so. The PAL video is available in singapore. I got it recently, but have not watched it yet.

  You can get them either in Hubs or through any olden websites. I loved his songs. I got around 480 songs from TMS Hub.
