  IMPORTANT NEWS
  
  Deva not only copy a song even he capable copy other’s BGM
  
  If we said IR is a genus in producing BGM then Deva is genius in copying BGM. Once I thought that he is good in BGM when I saw ‘Kushi’. But I noticed that he copy some BGM from film Hindi Call “Sangam”……if u guys want to know which part does he copied go and watch Sangam at scene when raajkapoor decide join in air force..

  Ilayaraja has also given music for Thamarai Sentharpandy's two short films, one about a fisherman and the other about an issueless couple.
  
  The first film on the fisherman, Ellankiliye will run for 45 minutes and Vadivakkarasi and Monica are acting in it. The film depicts the struggle of a fisherman family in a very poignant manner. A story that is set on the seashore is rich with music. For someone who has composed music for Kadalora Kavithaigal, this is no big effort.
  
  Magane, Magane is impressive for its flow although it is only 30 minutes. Kovai Sarala and Sundarajan act as the issueless couple. They try to save the life of a boy who meets with an accident. Penniless, Kovai Sarala pledges her earrings and buys medicine. Ironically, they come to know that the boy is the son of a medical shop owner. Isai Gnani's music leaves the audience spellbound.

  Now the doubt is why super star is not willing to work with IR.In his forthcoming film 'Baba' ARR is MD.

  This is how musicologist Sheryar Ookerjee describes about 'Mozart I love you'.
  
  The hymn-like second movement of Mozart, I love You (based on an elegant Kalyani) is hauntingly beautiful and the high-pitched song of the flute is distinctly Indian, but the feel of the music is, again, very like a Bach slow movement. This is the kind of ‘fusion” Ilaiyaraaja can produce.
  
  In the third movement the flute has shed its Indianness and carries the melody with robust orchestral support, resulting in a very vigorous, Mozartian concerto finale. The flute capers on petty trills and turns and the violin shows off without restraint.

  Where did you find this write-up from? Was it part of the sleeve notes for HTNI? Teh version that I have from Oriental Records doesn't have any sleeve notes.
  I have NBW which has sleeve notes by another musicologist.
