Look at the postings of people like Vicky and AMbleen! Utter Rubbish!
This is surely going to backfire when IR's Pithamagan and Sandiyar release! Some miscreants are going to unnecessarily attack IR threads!

watever u say mr.vatsa ppl. always keep ARR down for IR which i think is not necessary.... that is y i dunt like TN...... here ppl. love ARR but they never put Anu Malik down for ARR... i still remember some raja fan calling sangamam a useless album.... i hate that attitude of putting down ARR for the sake of IR.... i'll never call TFM music crap bcos it is the best in India rite now.... and for that too ppl. give credit to IR and not ARR which is highly ridiculous..... wat did the poor guy do wrong???/ being born in TN??? i'm sure if he had been born in Mumbai he wud have been treated just like Sachin Tendulkar and not anything less....

hello Mr. prabhu i dunt know abt. others but ARR and KAmal Hassan are the only southies to break Mumbai barrier..... Kamal is considered as some idol for acting here... do know that???? maybe he is not commercially successful but he is as big a icon as Amitabh bachan here.....

hey MIL, i'm tired of u dude.... u shuld be knowing that rockers try very hard to eliminate Boyband sounds from thier albums..... dunt u know that???/ that is y i said fusing pop and rock music is a very daring thing to do....i dunt know abt. music much but i keep on listening to new sounds (in any language)...i basically go for fresh sounds and after listening to a number of sounds throughout the world i think ARR is a class-act.... for music is sound ( not tunes and grammar)

Southeastern rhythms
A.R. RAHMAN is surely going places. With Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams, he tried to wow audiences westwards. With four National Awards in his kitty (the latest being for Manirathnam's Kannathil Muthamittal), Rahman is busy scoring music for a Chinese film Warriors of Heaven and Earth directed by He Ping. That is something for this little man whose achievements are big. He is really going great guns — especially after Lagaan and Bombay Dreams. His latest album Boys, too, is doing well.

The disagreement here is Rockers Rock.. that is their essence, they dont need to eliminate boyband sounds since they dont have any in the first place. this goes true for yours & may likeables like Bryan Adams, Nirvana (Alternative Rock). I dont need to talk about metal here i guess

Maddy,
Your reasons are wierd and its hard to change ur perception. The difference between TN and Mumbai (just considering u as an example, though I got some good sensible friends from there), is that we are being fans than fanatics. Fans criticize bad stuff, fanatics dont. I personally dont think sangamam is a great album. Think about sangamam as just an album instead of an album by ARR, that is exactly what I say. I am a fan of IR and ARR. I do criticize IR works, check in this forum there will be many criticism about IRs works as well, its just u take ARR's criticism close to the heart and IR's as some kind of a "motivating factor".
I hope you dont say Mumbai is the place of the most "knowledgable" people and the rest of India is crap and dont start things like just because someone is recognized in Mumbai they are great. Everyone are good at certain things no one is great includes ARR, IR anyone (ARR is put first .. hope you will be happy now).

yaa yaa i'm happy as long as u really judge the standard of ARR.... i never tell that Mumbai is the most happ. place in India, but here the life is so fast paced that only really good and extraordinary things will have recognition..... i never tell that only best things succeed here but something extraordinary(be it +ve or -ve)........ i also add this point of ARR's recognition in Mumbai as just an addl. qualification sort of thing and not as his life-time acheivement thing...
one more reason y i tell u this, is the fact that some other state's ppl. judge him so well while our own ppl. fail to appreciate him......

In north india - ARR got going with rangeela. but as far as i remember, in one of the interviews he did tell that he has to go for the dolak at some stage or the other to make the song a success.
i donno what he really meant, it was some thing like to get the song successful at all the audience levels dolak and a few of the instruments(i dont want to name them and embarass myself as i donnno their names properly) need to be there.
comments are welcomed to clarify this point.
