rajaG: Did you note the similarity of pallavis between Seyno Rita and " Enakkoru aatha.." in "Aatha naan fail dhaan"?
DIGRESSION:

i have not listened to kAthalikkum peNNin from kathalan. I will check if it is available on the net , and it will be interesting for me to listen and see how UN has handled tarastayi!. I agree with you that deficiency(ies) in tarastayi does not necessarily make a singer bad, but it certainly adds versatility to the style. IMO, it is a talent that is born with somebody.OTOH performing brigas is something one can improvise by some regular practice. I have no knowledge on UN's professional background except being known as one of the eltite class(!) of HFM singers. The viture of absence of brigas in a song does not necessarily qualify to call a singer who rendered as not being proficient in delivering brigas. But, as for as my knowledge goes , UN probably lacks in both areas(you are right!) , and so no MD would dare to give him a number which requires a higher octave singing or brigas. Your point 5) "His emotions/expressions most of the times like therula visil adikara mathiri". Do you have 'hey ajnabi tum bhi kabhi' also in your mind while saying this?! IMO, if you give him songs like "mayilayilE kabAleeshwasra kayilayilE paramEshwara" or "kashumEla kashu vanthu kottugira nEramithu", which are meant for those front benchers, you cannot expect him to bringout emotions(!) on these numbers. isn't it? Could you please tell me a song which required emotional expresions and his rendering sounded like whistling? (i am just curious to know , not that i am challenging, i am NOT a big fan of any singer's but trying to analyse the vulnerability aspects)
Speaking of high pitch singing here, have you listened to sivachidambaram in ARR's new album 'jOdi'. Please take a listen to it and let me know what your is your observation on how ARR has handled siva, especially when he goes singing 'jeeva....' towards the end!
( i don't know if so much of digression is allowed in this KR Vs YSR comparison thread. If somebody has problems, he/she can let me know, i will stop right here!;-))

Got the PK CD. A decent album and I don't know what more you can expect. 'chudithar...' is a lovely one and has pretty decent movements too. The kid is a sure watch out.
By the way, who is the heroine in the movie?

The Tamils in Ellam are fighting for survival....
and there is no nation considering that...after

freedom and right of birth....
Tomorrow is the Martiers day, for the people who laid their lifes in the freedom srtuggle.
And it is 22years the fight stared and till today
we find no solution..
When nations fail its the people who remaind that
there is something urgent to be considered
Here we in Ellam are waiting for our freedom ....
just looking out to the days to enjoy as like others....save mankind......
What I request you is to pass this message to
one and all who you know and
