It is not CONE. It is HORN. Cone speakers are the normal ones (in a box, a.k.a Dynamic speakers). BTW, HORN speakers are coming back in fashion. They are a few ones, but cost $10000. No kidding.

The link says this year's pongal will be special for IR family. Films with music scored by IR (Friends), KR(Vaanchinaathan), YSR(Dheena) are releasing for Pongal. Bhava will also sing for them. So the entire family has reasons to celebrate.

Oh my god!!!!!
I haven't words to describe the feeling after listning to the songs from Friends. I really can't wait for the cd here in Denmark. All the songs are really beautyfull. Really enjoyable. Wow what a man (IR). The rukku rukku song really surprised me. What a beat , man.

IR has disappointed once again. 'Manjal Poosum' is good. Other songs look like some B-grade Hindi Music Director has given the music...

When can we expect Bharathy Range Compositons?
A big let down!!

Correction:

In Hindi there are no A-grade (or even B-grade)music Directors now!!! We have only C-grade MDs. Hence let me correct my statement.
Other songs look like some Hindi Music Director has given the music...

The following page says IR has scored music for 55 Rajini Movies., Simply Amazing., Is there any other Actor-MD pair done this before (Probably Kamal - IR ?)

I think IR has worked with Kamal in 70 movies
or so(I remember Kamal mentioning about this
during the release of Hey Ram).

Rajini would have acted in not more than
150 movies and IR has composed for atleast 30%
of them which is amazing.

I was thinking on one thing when i am listning to this wonderful track from friends (Thendral Warum by Hariharan and Bavatharini). Is it a some sort of carnatic based song?

The starting of the song is very different and good.

Well www.raaja.com also does not have the full songs. Actually, in almost all the site I found Friend's songs, there is a problem. That is as the song starts in 10 seconds it stops.
Is that happening to everyone

I think that genius might be correct. Bharathy was great .... Being a diehard IR fan , Friends has been a let down for me.... Let us all wait for Pandavas guys !!!So dont get discouraged.... IR will be back.

Simply because there are no ARR albums, Friends is not good? It is a much better album compared to other MD's but for IR it is just another album. When Bharathy was released many of the folks here said it is not upto 80's IR standard. Now Friends is compared against Bharathy. Does this means that Bharathy is like 80's or 90's IR. Next year the same folks will say 'this album' is not like Friends. Ada Pongappa!

Nyamam, Dharmam varies from person to person. It is also called as bias. What one person likes may not be liked by others.

People are not fools to buy cassettes blindly. If you guys can't digest it, better not to visit this thread. IR always rules.
