It is interesting that Common Friend is disappointed if other's perceptions are different than his.
Of course, his comments (not my words), "yappa..edha ennanu solla thaanga mudiyalada sami" is how I feel when I see people like Common Friend's biased review of their favorite MD's music.

A sincere request to TFMPAGE surfers, esp. IR fans.
Before post anything, get it approved by the 'Moovar Ani' (Bharath, CF and Trend). That will make life easier for the decent people who happened to visit here.

comparitive:
"kaun dagar" is better than other songs in that album
superlative:
kaun dagar is the best hindi song i have heard
ridiculous:
//"There is no better songs in HFM than this one "//
even a "IMO tag" after this wud have made it somewhat reasonable.
I have recvd comments from some people advising me not to make blanket statements. please are those people watching

Common Friend:
That was one person's opinion. Why shoudn't someone have that opinion based on his taste. Your taste differs and you do not have to have the same opinion. So express that in your opinion, you do not like that song.
I go back to the same example, when songs like "haira hairabba" or "kannodu kanbadellam" from Jeans or the nityasree song from padaiyappa were all reviewed as wonderful songs...I had the same feeling as you expressed for SP Mahendran's posting. People's tastes are different.
What I object to is not if you state that you don't like IR's Lajja song but have a problem with SP Mahendran stating that he likes it and questioning his taste or my taste buds.
I think it is ignorant to have a problem with others having a different opinion than one's own. These opinions (tastes) are shaped by so many different factors.

Krishna,
You are correct! Your point of view is well taken!
But as much as SP Mahendran has the right to post his opinions , others have the right to disagree. It is matter of democracy!
So many people disagree with me and I disagree with so many!.
This forum, if was limited to just expressing views and nothing else would be bland and boring.
what we call analysis is a disguise of arguments and personal view points, which at most times contradicts view points of others!
The tag "IMO" I was talking about is simply a ticket with a disclaimer that "hey! I like it and I know that others may not like it and I am okay with that fact"
An obvious overstatement wud be saing that
"when IR got up from his seat his keys scratched against the metal and it let out a sound . That is the best sound that has ever been produced in the world of music"
This is the farthest end of the spectrum which wud be disagreed by all. Mahendrans statement just falls inbetween and is open for debate. which requires arguments.
If I say " poongathave thazhthiravai" is good... its this side of the spectrum. Less people wud disagree.
arguments add spice....
you say
//"others having a different opinion than one's own"//
why should it matter if CF disgrees with IR's music or mahendran. He is just following ur logic of people are different!

Bharath:
Disageeing with an opinion is Ok but to perceive one's taste is superior to another's (hence criticizing other's taste/opinion) is ignorant. Whenever I make this point, the obvious counterpoint people make is that large numbers of people have a smilar taste to mine and hence my taste is superior to the others. In my opinion, it is not. Large numbers of people like Indira Gandhi, MGR, Jayalalitha but I don't hold that prefernce is superior.
Goes back to my original point..which is disagreeing that "Kaun Dagar" song was a good song or not is reasonable but slighting Mahendran's appreciation and perception of where he rates "Kaun Dagar" song just because you disagree with that rating is ignorant.

Thank you very much my friends.I love Raja music very much.I know AR fan really don't like that comment. But that is the true. The only thing that IR do not get now is only advertisement. If he get just like AR than there is no way to stop him.AR only can get popular with his music advertisement. But Raja not like that.He is musical Genius.Raja is a born genius. There is no question about that.Raja music is very fresh than ever.He always give new tunes and different kind of music. But AR is not like that.He get collect music from other countries and mixed it.Raja is always will rule music Industries.

agree with krishna and bharath, but still feel SPM is a bit over the top!, however ignorant i may sound.
"What I object to is not if you state that you don't like IR's Lajja song but have a problem with SP Mahendran stating that he likes it and questioning his taste or my taste buds."
true but when such a ridiculous statement is posted "Go and listen to Lajja song...... no better songs in HFM than this one" just disagreeing will be an understatement!!.

'Kaun Dagar' from Lajja makes it to Top 10, though we all know IR is too good for this kind of ranking.

krishna,
doesn't IR fans say that people taste is bad nowadays for liking ARR/Deva/SAR songs. Why don't you post your views when they do it. Wasn't Bollywood people taste (or lack of it) derided here by many here?

Krishna:
I never said that I did not liked that song. I just reacted to that SPM's overacting statement. He probably has not listened any hindi songs or has not lisened this kaun dagar song.
There can't be just two criteria of liking or not liking a song. Certain songs don't touch you, but also don't disturb you when you happen to hear them. When seen, from a situation point of you a song might seem great, but with out that, it will look as if it is just an other song. This lajja song, for me, falls in this category. It is certainly not the great or IR or HFM or for that matter of all the resent bunch. But, it is a decent song. What more can you expect in a sorrow song. What more can IR do.? Again, I maintain that this might not be the film that IR should have agreed to do.
All IMHO. podhuma.
