  Folks,
  
  This is my impression of NMK after listening to it the second, third,... and nth time. Like i said before, at first listening nothing made great impact on me.
  
  #1. Thendrali Kandu Kolla ..I should say this is the best in the Album. especially the chanting by IR during the second interlude and the Chorus is really Good. I now play this song and Kolusu Konchum ( Chinnadurai) in repeat mode.
  Hariharan has done a good job.
  
  #2. THe next best is Vaikai Nathi karai .. Again by Hariharn this is also a fabulous song with a very good Violin interlude. Very smooth and melodious.
  
  #3. my next choice in the list is Shankar Mahadevan's "Cittu parakuthu..". Very catchy though reminded me of the SOng " Araicha santhanam" From Chinnathambi. ( but on closer observation, it does'nt seem to be very similar)
  I like this fun song. Lyrics are very average but the fun part of the song makes up for it.
  
  #.4 Suthaathe boomi thaaye nillu.. This by Chitra is again very good.
  
  #.5 . Thananthaniyaaga oru theevu .. by IR . has typical IR amma senti lines.. but a good pathos song. THe haunting music during the first interlude really makes u feel that u are marooned in a island.
  
  #6.Poongaathu. I am not sure how many will like this, but i liked the Chorus mixing ( ..sirikum poovuthaan kaatril aaduthu...)
  
  
  About Raajastaan , On repeated listening i could stand Sorgathil Nikka Nikka ..and the beginning of
  Jinjil Laara .. but the rest are very very average
  ( i guess IR took a coffee break during these songs OR something went wrong there ..)
  
  But NMK is a must buy album for goodmusic lovers.
  and 2 songs in Chinnadurai are not to be missed.
  Kolusu Konchum is better than the best in NMK.

  NMK is agood movie but the songs are just OK.
  only thendralai kande kolle and vaigai nathi karai is a good numbers. All the credit will goes to MU Kal if this movie become a hit.Actually this movie is based on thul man thul and a hindi movie-saajan.But the screenplay and BGM is very good.IMO mu kal should go after SA rajkumar for more melodious tune althugh we know that most of his tunes are similar

  rajastan ---this is the worst from IR for 1999.
  Rajavukku sarekke thindericchinne ninaikkirhen. ithe rombe perhe otthukke mathingghe. .None of the songs are good.
  The movie is a kuppe.VS shouldnt act in this movie. Telegu "kaighel"ha kadeppa ave porangge. IMO vidyasagar is a good choice for this kindov movie- exp NETHAJI ,ARASIYAL which is better than RAJASTAN. RAja cannot become #1 again-IMO. LUckily he never accept the offer fr kamal for heyram.

  Ok guys ,this is the latest news about the guiness record movie--- suyamvaram.
  THere is a five songs in this movie ,but none of them compose by IR.(the main MD)
  VS 2 songs ,one of them sung by prabu deva
  DEVA - ghana paathu by SAbesh
  Sirpy - first song in the album sung by UK,suja and HH,suja (both are same)
  SAR - gosthi paathu sung by six singers
  
  IR --BGM
  IMO IR is a good choice for the bgm becoz this is the most important aspest in the film because the shooting took only one day.
  ANd what will happened if the other MD's songs are better than IR . That s why he dont want to take the risk and just in charge of BGM.

  IR is really give ery very super music for NMK,Rajastan and Kummi Pattu.IR is the best.Who said that IR's Rajastan songs is no good.This Rajastan album is one of Raja's super album.There is no doubt about BGM.Raja is the King.......!You guys don't try to insult my Guru(IR) anymore.Any news about Jeya Jeya Jeyahe?IR is the MD for Kamal Marudhanayagam.IR is also score music for Fazil,Nasser and many more directors.We do not know why Mu.Kalanjiyam select Deva for his next film titled Kesavan.IR is very very nice person.I don't know why there is people like to cheat this Musical Genius....!

  I have listened to NMK a few times. Even though the songs are not appealing instantly , i found some pretty decent tunes. 'Sittu paRakkuthu kuththAlathil' is a catchy tune with some nice rhythm built. 'PoongAththu athu boomiyengum' is another upbeat number with nice IRish interludes. 'Vaigai nathi' is a nice melody in which hariharan has rendered with no pisuru (for the obvious reason that he doesn't have to reach high pitch ). 'SutRathE boomith thAyE' and 'thendralai kaNdu koLLa' which have the same tune lack originality in its bass score! Overall ,barring the last two songs , the album needs appraisal for some catchy IRish tunes though they are n't super-duper numbers .

  Listened to Rajasthan. Sigh..! All the songs sound amateurish and ..the least said is better.
  
  Whereas, songs from kummipaattu sound good. Ofcourse, the album is not as good as veeraththaalaattu, but definitely better than Rajasthan and listenable.
  
  Now Waiting for NMK eagerly.

  Here is my review for IR's 'Kummip paattu'
  1. Aasai machchaan., (Swarna)
  This song comes twice in the cassette and IMO is the best song of the album. Very nice tune and swarna has simply made the song an excellent one. A treat for IR's Melody lovers.
  2. Uchchi veyilukku.,(AM, Swarna)
  This is an average song, Not a catchy one IMO, chorous kills the song., Chummaa kaththaraanga., erichchalaa irukku., However Arunmozhi's excellent voice suits the song well and I liked all the lines sung by this guy in this album........
  3. Samanjcha puLLai., (AM)
  Another 'Not so good' song., But i liked the tune, From beginning to the end of the song, a nice flow is there which is very good. But in total - Ennamooo kuRaiyuthu !!!!
  4. OOrukku thekkittu., (AM, Swarna)
  A very good song, chumma Dabbaanguththuthaan, but nice work by AM And swarna., The tune reminds me some old song but i couldn't figure out. May be some of you can help me !
  5. Ammiyilee., (AM, Swarna)
  Refer my comments to song 2. A similar one., But Except lyrics, ithu oru Graamaththu paattu maathiriyee illai., I have to mention AM again., God, this guy sings with so much of enthu. that i begin to like even this 4/10 song after 4 to 5 listenings, Swarna izuththu izuththu paadaRathu azakaa irukku., a good choice.,
  6. Chinna manasu., ( Bhava )
  One of the songs that worth a special attention. A very good song i would say and IMO Bhava suits this song very much ( I know that i am gonna get a min. of 100000000000000000 guys with different opinion on this., -:) ). Appadiyee oru thaalaattu paattu maathiri pookuthu, excellent tune, nice lyrics and chorous helps this song very much. Orchestrisation reminds me 'Deepangal peesum' from Devathai in some places. A very good song !!!
  7. Aasai machchaan., ( AM & Swarna )
  Repeat of first song with AM. A good duet., But i liked the solo version than this.......
  8. Poonguyilee., ( IR )
  Another good pathos song by IR. Very good tune and a good use of instruments., Lyrics-la amma paththi niraiya varuthu., thats why IR is very impressed i guess.,

  I liked this album very much., but this is defenitely not as good as Veeraththaalaattu which had a variety of songs.,

  Nags, thanks for the review. Nowadays, I back to buying any damn cassette or CD of IR whether there is only one hit song. His compositions are each mystical with something embedded in them even though they don't come out as a whole big hits.
