Well said musicfan. We need a true vote, a true number of musiclovers who voted for this song. Thanks to BBC here is a chance for tamils worldwide to tell 'hey listen to this song, my favourite, my language'.
There is a separate thread on this 'BBC vote'. Lets keep this thread dedicated to its topic.

Not to worry on the programs written by any FAN...
i think BBC have added a IP detecting function, which allows only one vote per IP....something like our TFM vote.
So, this will actually get the different voters to vote....

I think BBC should stop publishing intermediate results, so that manipulators will be in dark as to what is happening.

SMK songs are quite good. I think the some of the best folk numbers from him(IR). Definitely high class stuff. I will find myself listening to these songs over many more years as I do of the other IR songs. Guys check these out, don't be biased just enjoy the music. This is the music we have grown up, its vintage IR at his best.

when I saw the poll first time,i was very excited.I even asked my friends to vote. But now the competion become IR fans vs ARR fans. It doesnt matter anymore. We(I) really dont need a poll results to tell us about the music we love. Whoever wins now,it doesnt reflect anything.Lets not make it more uglier by letting everybody(else) in the world abt US

SMK
Disappointed slightly!
Thankar Pachan should avoid attacks on persons who are not tamilian
Thankar Pachan should give more varities in the next film, otherwise he will be a loser. Any Thanker proves his talents again
But IR is the clean winner in SMK
Ramana
Murugadas is the firs hero
VijayaKanth is the seond
Ir is the third
Good BGM

Guys,
Anyone noticed the haunting music of IR in the song "Muthu Muthu Pennukuru Muthu Malla" from En manavanille ?. I liked the way IR used the Piano on the first interlude followed by the synth... The Synth piece reminded me of the old IR days especially the song "kodiyille Palliga Poo" from Kadallora Kavithaigal...
The use of drums and percussion instruments in this song is extremely good.
Its truely the best song of IR in the recent days.

what about the song "Unnail thedi vennilla.." from En mana vaanil that is sung by Ilayaraaja, not Hariharan. It's one of the songs IR has enjoyed most while singing in recent times...the portion solladhadhai en kangal solluthe...vouches for that ... something that reminds you of the songs in early 80- sigappu rojaakkal for instance.

How about the lyrics and tune of 'Oru Sundari Vandhaalam'. This song is growing in me as any other IR's gems. Ofcourse the opening of the song has some dialogues etc. etc. for the movie. A wonderful job by Raaja.

I heard the new Telugu album. Jag, thanks for the link. Here's my take on it: 'Edo Mounaraagam' and 'Kondamalli' are tops (so what if 'Kondamalli' sounds like one of IR's Mallu songs? The orchestration is just great). My waste picks of this album are 'Sari Sari' and 'Chamakku Cham.' 'Jajimalli' is good, especially if you like 'Enna Solli.' (actually, Jajimalli is a rehash of Enna Solli). Overall a good album by IR.

My picks from Ninuchoodaka Nenundalenu are Kondamalli (IR, Sadhana), Jajimalli (Sadhana).
They are awesome.

Jag
Thanks for the notification. I couldn't wait to hear the album. It was a good album from IR. IR hasn't composed in telugu for so long. The last he did was Antahpuram a couple of years ago.
About the songs:
Kommallo koyila - lovely song with nice vocals by IR and SS. IR sounds so young in this song. Hear him say "ko ko ko ko kommallo" at the fag end of the song. SS is somewhat acceptable with regards to her enunciation skills. His voice is perfect (IMO) for this song. The charanam is the creative part of this song. This is a good foot tapping number and I think will be a hit in the countdowns. Nice pleasant interludes are an asset to this lovely tune. Lyrics are good too.
Edo mounaragam - nice pathos from IR. For a change, he did not sing this in the film. I think KK did quite well. I thought the beat pattern and interludes were somewhat un-IRish, if that makes any sense. This reminds old telugu/hindi songs, but I can't place my finger on it. However, I couldn't help thinking that SPB would have been a lot better for this song. Again here, the charanam is more musically creative than the pallavi. Sounds so much like a hindi song.
Jaji malli - As purv said, this is a rehash of IR's Enna solli, with a couple of extra new sounds. SS sings this song. She needs to be instructed rather strictly on how not to kill some words and how much stress need be given on what part of the word etc., Like instances like "Aevarani" instead of "evarani", "chinnAmATa" instead of "chinnamATa", "aasa" instead "aaSa" (and the list goes on) are pretty glaring. She however sings well. The strain that one heard in Enna solli is absent in this song. What is the deal with changing "Goruvanka" to "Gorumaina" in the middle of the song? And I have never heard "Gorumaina" usage before.
Kondapalli - Beautiful song! Lovely orchestrization. Aha! was the expression I released when I first heard this song. The pallavi follows "Kodamanjin" from Kochu Kochu Sandhoshangal (as purv mentioned). But the charanam is different. KK and SS sing this song. Somehow, I thought KK's voice didn't suit this song at all. Karthik or Harish would have been a lot better. His voice seemed like it was floating somewhere. SS's singing and enunciation are reasonably good in this song. And what should I say about the interludes. They are filled with lovely violin passages reminding me of the old IR songs, particularly the second interlude.
Sari sari and Chamakku cham - The less said about these songs, the better it is. Why do we need these two songs in the midst of four nice songs, can someone explain?
Anyway, I liked the album very much. My favorites in this album are Kommallo koyila and Kondapalli. Edo mounaragam is my next favorite, good song.
So, Sadhana sargam sings 3 songs in this album!! So SS has replaced SJ now? Well, she has a unique, beautiful voice and I have admired her voice for a long time now. But she still has to work on her pronunciations. In contrast, Shreya has a better command over telugu than Sadhana. But why give such a not-so-great song to Shreya when she could have been better used for, let's say Jaji malli.
And of course, I missed Chitra really badly. I wonder why she has been sidelined by IR. SPB is also not around.
In any case, it is a good album with 4 good songs and 2 forgettable songs. I hope it is a hit. Atleast that way, we will get to hear more of and from IR in telugu.

Enjoyed the upbeat numbers from the new Telugu film. Thanks Jag.
Kula Shekhar in the 'Sari Sari' song sounds very much like Malaysia Vasudevan did early in his career.
Isn't R.P. Patnaik an upcoming MD in Telugu? Interesting to know that IR has roped him in to sing 'Chamaku Cham'.
The last song 'Aa KoNdapalli' is an infectious tune in Raga 'Shuddha SAveri'. Though IR has scored dozens of songs in this raga ('kAdhal mayakkam', 'Kuyile kuyile poonguyile', 'RAdha RAdha Nee enge', 'MaNamagaLe' to name just a few), each time he brings out a new flavor and this song is no exception. The 2nd interlude was vintage IR.
