IR's new albums!

  To All Fans Of Maestro Ilayaraaja:
  
  There is no vested interest in the running of the site www.raajangahm.com. Please read the http://www.raajangahm.com/mission.html" target = new>mission statement.
  
  Mr Ilayaraaja is fully aware of what is happening at www.raaja.com. The objective of the site is to spread the name of Mr Ilayaraaja and his music. Period.
  
  There is criticism because people do not seem to realize the ground realities in this capacious mission unless and until you are closely involved with us.... we request all fans to not only participate but actively engage in the regular activities of www.raaja.com
  
  This site was started with the cooperation of a few like-minded fans of Maestro Ilayaraaja and the consent of Mr Ilayaraaja. All these fans/friends, are senior DF members/patrons who met on this platform called TFM DF!
  
  We are not here to popularize ourselves. We have enough issues personal/official to take care of and all that we are interested is, in the globalization of the great Maestro's works. Till date, the few working hands of RaajaNGAHM have spent hundreds of dollars and countless hours toward the mission of RaajaNGAHM. And, because of our minuscule, yet "aathmaarthamaana" efforts, we are making progress. And we have never been pontifical about our endeavors, till date!
  
  Our efforts have been appreciated world over and many musicians have expressed interest in collaborative music with Mr Ilayaraaja after having seen his works at the web site.
  
  There is room for improvement. We request you fans of Maestro Ilayaraaja to send in your contributions, constructive criticism, suggestions, to admin@raajangahm.com.
  
  Our actions and mission statements are open and we are not working 'nom de guerre' nor are we anonymous! Fans are flocking in everyday with words of appreciation, contributions and suggestions. (And, everyone has a name:-))) It is quite unfortunate to read the comments of some surfers, that are targeted at us for no good reason! It hurts! Instead of criticizing our efforts here, you can send your suggestions and contributions to us at admin@raajangahm.com.

  But there are genuine concerns that fans have expressed earlier, that they get to know the news from other sites before the official site does. Sometimes the site misses some interesting information completely. I am not talking about rumours here, but genuine news. Though it is unfair to DEMAND certain services of a non-commercial site like this, you may want to take it as a compliment that expectations from the team are high and try and manage those expectations in the best way possible.

  P.S.: V. S. Narasimhan told me that Raja is working on an album of his BGM scores. Could you please confirm this from IR? Thanks.

  I also heard that
  1. Raja is on a world tour for 3 months. Can you pls get his detailed travel plan and publish on www.raaja.com ? So that, whenever he gets time, fans in abroad can have a 'Dharshan' .
  
  2. Raja is on a 100crores project called 'Isaignani Ilayaraja Isai Aaivy Maiyyam' - Can you tell us more details like objectives , financial sponsors, what can we expect in the near future etc. ?

  The nature of your last few postings seem to bely your status of being a senior DFer. Apart from the facade of anonymity on the one hand, you seem to have indulged in personal attacks on fellow-DF posters like Bug. It was so pronounced and distasteful that I actually took time off to trace your nasty postings in the Old responses of this thread and cetrain other threads. You have posted in pseudonyms like Bugspray, etc.
  While I appreciate your effort in trying to emphasize the good efforts of RaajaNGAHM, I strongly deplore the attitude in your past postings. Be anonymous if you like, but maintain decency in your postings - as would befit the stature of a veteran DFer.

  Well this time it's me on behalf of RaajaNGAHM. Any news concerning Ilayaraaja will appear at the RaajaNGAHM site only when Raaja gives his green signal. Our aim is not to popularize the daily schedule of Raaja; rather it is to popularize him.

  i recently bought a number of records of raja, which films i don't see in the filmography. for instance, malargaL nanaikindrana, uLLam urugudhadi, thanga mama (3D), kavithai malar and a few others which i don't recollect right now. can the folks at raajangahm please make the additions?

  If you say you guys are posting news only after getting the green signal from IR, then how come you are posting news like "IR is yet to confirm Kamal's next movie Alavandhan"?
  
  Everybody knows MD for Alavandhan is Shankar Mahadevan, that news came in several news papers which is almost one month before you post the above news.
  
  Whether you guys are thinking all kamal movies will defaultly goes to IR. or IR himself deserving to give such news?

  Musicmagazine folks give me the impression that they are diehard IR admirers (like me :-)). Every time they review an album, (even by other MD's), they lavish praise on IR. Look at this review of Hey Ram

  Now if you consider the review for Hey Ram to be a thumbs up , then Bharati gets a flat thumb right?
  
  I really enjoyed Bharati -- for the outstanding lyrics, simple music and two talented new finds - Harish Raghavendar and Madhu Balakrishnan. I especially liked the former, sounds like a more masculine version of Unnikrishnan with infinitely better diction. All IMNSHO :-)
