Udhaya,
My intention was not to start a comparison 'war' among IR, MSV, ARR etc. However, by stating that ARR was not above it, I guess without intending to do so, I might have started one. Luckily adhu pusvaaNamaai pOyiduththu. Thanks for your caution.
Here's my two cents on ESK. I have heard it many times and the songs don't do anything to me. In fact I think, all of ARR's recent albums (Jeans, UyirE, ESK) are quite ordinary in terms of melody, choice of singers, orchestration etc. I wish ARR finds the inspiration which he had when he composed for Thiruda Thiruda, Pudhiya Mugham, Uzhavan etc. Let's take a hypothetical case of trying to introduce ARR's music to somebody who has not heard his music before. What is the probability that we are going to play any of his latest creations to create 'a desired first impression?' Very low, I have to guess.

rajaG,
I'll revive an appropriate ARR thread and address your claim there. Meanwhile, let's get back to "New Releases by ARR".

My comments on ESK
Overall, a decent album. ARR has come up with an 'avial' that caters both to the discerning junta as well as the masses! But then, not all albums can be a Dil Se, right?
In the song THEENDAI, is the initial 'husky???' voice by the same girl who recited some lines in a song from the film, 'DUET'? Who is she?
This song has been very well rendered by SPB and Chitra and is one of the few songs in the album that have no pronunciation blunders... As for MG Sreekumar, Rafi and Harini and chorus, they need a crash course on Tamil pronunciation immediately to save us from tortures in future! I really feel so because even the tune-wise melodious song is spoiled by such poor rendering of the lyrics. And No, VM can't be their Guru! As I said earlier, VM too needs to check his lines before releasing them to the MD. In the 'Chinna Chinna Mazhaithuli' song, he says, "CHAKARAVAAGAMO Mazhayai Arundumam". He doesn't seem to know the difference between Chaadaka the bird and Chakaravaagam, the Raga!!!!!!!
In the song, 'Thirakkadha Kaattukkulle' the portion that's sung by Chitra in Raga Hamsadhwani follows the same pattern as her song, "Chiragillai Naan KiLiyillai Ada Vaanam Kooda Tholaivilai" in the film 'Vaaname Ellai' (Director: Balachander MD: Maragathamani, Lyricist: Vaira Muthu)

I heard that "Kaadhalar Dhinam" is ARR's next release of ARR; "Padayappa" will be released after that.

In all honesty ,sincerity, humility and faith in ARR, I want to make a suggestion. Please, my ARR friends, we have to be continue our frienship at all costs, even if I made this daring suggestion. If you don't mind, I vote that we ask (request, beg, fall at his feet) ARR to assist IR after release of Padiyappa. It is time the film industry released ARR and his ever hopeful fans are deliverd of some stress and anxiety.

heard velli malare from jodi just now. SPB's voice is amazing , miles better than sonu nigam in bol sajni. i guess this is another reason why people would like to buy the album in different languages:-)

Ah!BB..maybe..but I can always argue that Raja took care to get the right singers to sing it in all languages..so One didnt have to keep hearing it in a different language hoping it would sound better..:)

BB: Are you referring to Kumar Sanu?If so, blame GV and his greedy attempts to cash in on MR'S popularity after Roja in the north. I dont think Raja had anything to do with the dubbing..remember, the producer holds rights.
Actually, you could have countered my argument much easily with Mano :)
