  " aadamal aadugiren, paadamal paadugiren" from Ayirathil oruvan is another tough song, which was perfectly sung by PS. Athil " kuyile un siragodithu isai ketkirar, mayile un kAlodithu nadam pArkirAr " , varigalodu sernthu, manathai aruppathu pol oru humming varum. great.
  " nilavu vanthu paadumo, silai ezhunthu Adumo, palar niraintha sabayinile panbu kooda mArinal" from "rAman ethani rAmanadi" is another pathos from PS. In that muthuraman force K.R.Vijaya to sing a song in the drinking party and she will start singing with hatred. while dancing he kicked her leg to sing a fast song. Aas soon as he kicked, she gives a humming with that pain ( Ho.....ho.ho.ho...) and she changes her singing style along with that " maarattum, manathu pola pogattum ..." .   Hi PS fans
  PS started singing again. yesterday I bought a casette "Nagalingam", music by Adithyan. In that a solo " puthu nilavu" is by PS. (babu ganesh, neena, and ravali are the actor, actresses). I am not very impressed by that song. but I was very happy to hear her voice in new movies after a long time.

  There is are so many IR-PS combination songs. Some are,
  
  1. Aasaiyila Paathi Katti Naathu Onnu Natu Vechean
  2. Manathil Ore Oru Poo Poothathu
  
  I like these two songs very much.
  But if it comes to PS solos, no match to MSV-PS combinations.
  1. Deviyar Iruvar Muruhanuku (Listen this song. I think the song is based on some heavy raagam. Wonderful song!)
  
  2. Where is the match to "Thamizukum Amuthenru Per"? Do we need to tell anything about this song? Simply great song.
  
  3. "Chitukuruvikenna Kattupadu" which brought second national award for PS. tatadatatata dada.....
  
  I would like to mention one song composed by VKumar. "Moothaval Nee Koduthaai Vaazvile Munetram". Modulations and pronounciations are the best. Not to be missed.

  Hi Guys: I guess you guys should listen to the song "Othaidi Pathaiyilae" from the film "Nimirnthu Nil".,,How could MSV compose such a song,...Vow...Vow....Vow..Vow....What a rendition by PS..A completely different style...kinna folky, funky and jazzy..Truly a legend...She deserves it. I dont think that someone can match her in quality. She is a phenomenon. I keep listening to its fast paced tune without compromising on quality of rendition. A rare raaga which I am yet to come across in the last 30 years. MSV was right in choosing the singers. PS is truly a legend in TFM, unparalelled in the history of TFM after MKT. BTW one should listen to MKT's " Vazhvil Oor Thirunall" from Haridas..You will know what I am talking about. The other greatest rendition by PS is " Undhan Arivenna".

  Hello All: I am sharing these thoughts with you. I am kinna disappointed that she was never awarded a "Padmashree/Padma Vibushan or Bharat Ratna". Why..Why...Why....Does'nt she deserve that? She has contributed to the Southern Music World more than anyone else in terms of quality and number of songs after Lata. I think there is a blatant discrimination in this regard. People who come after her have received those things..Well thats the way of life.........I guess

  Thank you. You are reflecting my feelings.
  I think Southern Film Industry is responsible for that. Once Ir reaches the peak, the previous generation was suppressed by the industry. Upto 1982 she was leading singer (before sakalakalavallavan) and SJ and VJ are equally singing. That period PS was singing so many songs in IR's music. One interview PS told " devar iruntha varai ennai than pAda vaithar". That is true. Devar,s films like "anbukku naan adimai", " annai Or alayam" Thayillamal naan illai, 'aatukkara alamelu" ,all songs are sung by PS. It happened with AVM also. IR's peak started after 1982. After that slowly he reduced chances to PS.(I read there was a misunderstanding between them when he was a assistant of G.K.Venkatesh ).
  South Indian Industry doesn't given the respect to any of the singers like north. How they are respecting Lata and Asha? They had difference of openion with so many MDs before. But they never reduce her chances. When she was felicitated, whole Indian industry was there to wish her .When PS was felicitated , what happened? So many were missing. Is it the way to felicitate the legend ? Our leading actors flied to bombay to felicitate lata. (When PS was felicitated for her 1st national award Lata came to Madras to wish her. ). But they couldnt turn up when PS was felicitated. We ourselves fighting for small things and we are not projecting our Legends, wherever it is required. When balumahendra was a judge he brought a award for "Inji" song. When Charuhasan was a judge for "ho la la la" and "thanga thaamarai" song. Like that no one is there is project PS for her achievements. We are giving importance to the people "one who is light". The previous generation was suppressed. The people who was behind that was expecting the recognition from this generation. How they get? " pirarkku inna murpagal seyyin-thamakku inna pirpagal thaame varum" .
  I hear lots of Lata's song also. Aanal PS in paadalgalil irukkum antha "Aazham " veru yaar voice-illum ennal unara mudiyavillai" ( openion differs)
  According to me more than the north Indian partiality towards south India , our South Indian industry is more responsible for this.

  I like "deviyar iruvarukku" song". The malayalam movie "vaishali" a song "indu pushpam choodi nilkum raathri"- which brought national award for chitra , sounds like the same song. (I mean that humming).
  Thank you for reminding "moothval nee koduthai song".athil "mannile oruvarillai mangai unakkedu solla" enta variyai thodarnthu, "ennavo nee kidaithai yellorkkum vaazhvu thara" enta line varum. antha "eedu solla"-vukkum "ennavo"-kkum idayil evvalavu yatarthamai keezhirunthu mele povar parungal. beautiful.

  I have a difference of opinion about PS+IR combo. IR given very selected and very good songs to PS. No doubt about it. But, any challenging number? . Nothing newly extracted from her. " Gangai aatril", "rAgavane ramana", " seer kondu sentavan", raasathi manasula, "rasathi unna", " kettele ange" " varam thantha", "kalai thentral", like so many solos. But, these are within her range. She beautified that songs as much as she can.

  KAveri Oram kavi sonna kaathal kathai solli naan pAdava – from Adiperukku with a good lyrics. PS done very good job.
  Ithu thaan ulagama, ithu thaan vaazkaiya , ithu varai en vaazhvu kaanattu vellama – intha paadalil “ kuzhanthayai pole valarnthu vittene, kula magal naanam maranthu vittene” enta varigalil, enna oru veeriyam? Very good song.
