What do we want from IR in future ?

  Just an idea! If Lata could perform with the Wren orchestra why can't we try to get IR to perform/conduct with a US based Western Classical orchestra with say, SPB and Chitra on lead vocals. If you think I'm dreaming, please don't wake me up.

  Maybe a digression - but, what I want from IR NOW (not in future) is a re-recording of some of his top 200 songs in the late 70s - 80s period.
  
  Many of his otherwise great songs of that times were either poorly recorded / re-recorded or had pathetic singers.
  
  Maybe a worthwhile proposition for his kids - worthy MDs in their own right.

  If everyone of us(IR's fans) try to collect most of his greatest songs and BGM's of IR's 70's,80's and send it to CSO that would surely be great.I am confident that no one would any cause reject those compositions that our Maestro did during his era.

  I have all these numbers with me. I am ready to send it to the orchestra too. But, I must be given a proper outline as to what songs I can send them along with a write up that may supplement. SRK and others - your opinion please.
  
  
  Madhan: Do not go into oblivion :-) Come back as soon as possible to suggest me/ some others what we may do.
  
  I can sure undertake the task of getting the songs recorded etc.. on a CD (if available) or cassette. But, I feel the list can be finalised only after a thorough, but not lengthy, discussion. May be we should set a deadline.

  Muralidharan: Your list is excellent. May I add two more songs? One is a song too profound and too extraordinary that it escaped notice of every IR fan. This is a must, must. The impact can be devastating upon a forieng listener as the approach and sounds are very international. The song is: Chaahunga Tumko Main Rani Thumse Khab Milthi Hoon from Chaaila (HIndi). It is a jazz-pop and the ONLY one film song in India which is extraordinary of this genre. Don't miss this please.Otherwise, all your song selections are excellent. From Guru (tamil) you can choose Pere Sollava. Guru (Mal) a second song would be Deva Sangeetham Nee. Johny' other song: Oru Iniya Manadhu Isayai annaithu chellum. Even a non Indian film music lover loved this number. If you see I think there is a similarity between the Erasure hit: 'Blue Savannah song'and this precedent of IR. Let it start with En Iniya Pon Nilave (the subtle use of jazz instruments and outof the world chorus) or Illaya Nila Pozhigiradhey. I would also request you to include an intellectual numbe of IR Vaanam Kizhey Vandhal Yenna (Thhoongadehy thambi thoongathey)

  I will send them a compilation of IR's work on CD-R.
  
  Guys, I have NBW, HTNI, India 24Hrs. What all songs should I put on this CD ?
  
  I am going to ask the Orchestra a written willingness to produce IRs works after hearing it.
  
  I plan to use this to get the scores for NBW or HTNI released from IR.

  Kiru: please select only certain portion of NBW. Di you know that NBW is an unfortunate title? Wind means that which we say bodily emmitted in the form of a pungent odour. So, NBW may be kept aside or not mentioned because here they may declare the entire CD you send as Nothing But Wind. This is a fact I am telling you.
