Noble Souls:
1.Have you listened to Maxwell's Embrya. I think it's the second or third song. ARR's Vandemadaram's "Maa Thuje Salam" is a cool lift from here.
2. This first song in Maxwell also, in combination with Ace of the Base's " All that she wants", turns out to be the " Telephone mani pol.."
3. I was listening to an old Tamil duet song: " Thanthaikku Oru Piravi, Thaayaarukko Iru Piravi, Koduthaen Marupiravi, ... Kanna, Onnai Petraeduthaen
Marupiravi". I am not sure which movie it is, but the tempo and voice seemed it is of Gemini Ganesan movie. This song is nothing but " Mustafa, Mustafa,
Don't worry Mustafa". (Could any oldies fan say which movie it is from ?)

In fact it has been quite a long time i have written anything on this forum. Well, the time has come. I listen to a lot of other MD's songs also. When i heard thenali, i found it to be too ordinary and i was hoping that ARR shud get an ordinary director and so that he comes out with ordinary stuff. But Ir has given extraordinary stuff even for ordinary directors. Hope K.S Ravikumar realises that.

Guys
It seems Kamal was very paricular to stick with ARR for Thenali.... Infact many people say that he begged ARR to do the music for the mega banner from KSR Thenali...... I dont know how much truth is in it. If that is true, then we cant blame ARR- since ARR didnt have enough time to compose the music (on his standards).

ks ravikumar in his interview (before the relase of thenali ) had said (the interview happened in front of arr's house, apparently)"pulippAl kaRandhAchu" when asked about the music part of thenali...After listening to the songs, it sounds to me like the story of a sardar milking an ox :-)

i have just been to raajangahm,and from the DF there,i went to another website to download raaja's modern concerto from raajapaaravai.guys,please visit raajangahm to be redirected to dieveway.com.i cannot do this since the username and the password is mentioned there,please download this piece of music and compare it with the junk offloaded on us in name of music at present.hmmm...to compose music like that...
this piece was played by narasimhan .this effortlessly moves thru carnatic,wcm,jazz etc and the orchestration is heard to be believed.
kamal,who was able to get such topnotch music from raaja,begging arr...?if you believe that ,you will believe anything.

hey! yesterday i saw the movie rhythm, happened to listen the song "theem thanana theem thannana.." in that. The starting piece ie the "theemthanana" portion has a good influence of "minminiyae kanmaniyaai kondavalae yenvizhiyaall, thanthal un annai unnai o..chaa cha...", a song from some MGR movie. though i had listened this song many times here and there, only yesterday i could correlate these two songs.
is this correlation right, atleast to some extent?
