contribution of Salil Chaudhary to TFM

I am quite a fan of Salil C, and he is my favourite MD in India. I want to know more about his TFM contribution

  "Mazhiyoram" from the same film is yet another haunting song. But I think the Music Director is not Salil Choudhury. It is Jerry Amaldev, who created a change in trend in Malayalam film Music, as I am told. The song sequences of both those songs are beautifully shot and anyone who has seen this film (by Fazil) wouldnt forget those songs ! It is also available at

  A few months ago there was a brief discussion of another SC tune sung by VJ for the film St.Thomas. Kalai (a fellow DFer around here) promised to post a MP3 version of that song for us. He might have forgotten, or perhaps the recording was not so good and he might have changed his mind.
  Have you heard this song...I believe it goes "Dhom Thananana..." or along those lines.

  I dont understand the acronymns you guys are using here (SOTD, SC tune etc!). Probably the admin should create a thread for such acronyms for the benefit of guys like me who peep in now and then ! Naaz, I dont think I have heard the song you have mentioned.

  The song link is not for the duet. It is for another solo from the same film by SJ - "Manjani Kombil Oru Kingini..."

  Is Playback/Fast-Forward still around?? I thought it folded sometime in the mid 90s?
  I used to read the magazine. It was designed on the model of "Billboard" I believe?

  Have u heard Jerry's christian compositions. I have heard only a couple of them, one being Divine Mileu. It was a very fine composition.
