Are yaar,
i dont have any grudge against u man.... the only thread i visit in tfmpage is IR's new albums... So it is really exasperating to see people write unrelated things with their constant diatribe agaibnst IR fans...As such, any one's fate is not going to change just because others deem him to be bad. May be a few IR fans have attacked ARR fans... So what ??? We are just fans of them man.... we shouldnt think these things as personal, if u want to start a thread start it as
ANTI IR....
no hard feelings man,
take it easy

Kiru and Suresh,
It is true our likings to different songs change over time ( as aptly put...with age), this is happening to me more often to me ( does it mean my ageing process has taken a faster mode:-))
Also how each individuals liking change ...for ex. in "koda manjil "beginning of each line in the pallavi (for instance, Chitra sings 'kodamanjil' as 'ah kodamanjil', and so on, I thought was really very good as I have n't heard such singing by other female singers except Asha and SJ, IMO

"
I feel happy to see that you are frustrated, which is what I exactly wanted, because when you see some vomits in your place then you get frustrated. I just redirected the vomits that your people have been making in our place. What I wanted to say is if you are so tempted to vimt then do it in your backyard, not in ours. "

Are Yaar is a 5 year old kid who refuses to grow up. Where is your maturity moron Are Yaar? Fighting like an animal for these silly things.. Are you a slave to ARR?

Are Yaar,
You are calling yourself neutral ARR Fan, but you unknowingly becoming someone, whom you hate in hardcore IR fans.
There may be some hardcore IR fans who write things in other threads, but remember your posting here about this bothers others, who are neutral also?
In my opinion, instead of outbursting, staying calm would be a better solution.(Afterall nobody can tarnish IR or ARR image by such postings)

There is a private album done by IR/KR for Vasantham central channel in Singapore. Kadhalai gouravikkum neram is very good. Can someone elaborate on this.

Suresh :),
You lost your patience justifiably so. It is getting very difficult to walk through these pages without stepping on some crap.
Frankly, I didn't listen to kOda manjil that seriously. I was taken by the other two songs completely. MOreover, the recording is not that great (synth instruments ). Yes, vizhiyOraththu song is good too. azhagil azhagu has enjoyable classical touches.
naan vakkappattu song is sweet and cute. Something my wife will enjoy more than me. Whats attractive for me in en kanavinai is the orchestration. Also the melody moves fast to slow and back.I am not saying this right, I guess.
(in vAkkappattu song, did you notice the 'kuthAlak kAththu' simulated through violins :)that is IR propietary touch :)) (madhavi is the woman with those big eyes right ? hmm people are going to find out our ages :))
PrabhuDas..this sort of ageing is okay, I guess :)

I was listening to Ramana and the album is not a disappointment from IR as the anti-IR people saying. The album is 1000 times better than Kadhal Virus and it is 100% original.
I rather listen to original music than breaking my head that I heard the tune some where.

Friends this is a digression - kindly pardon me for this digression - but I could not resist myself
Mark Waugh's retirement: end of a glorious career of a consummate artist
To watch Mark Waugh in full flow was akin to listening to an IR classic like "Puttham pudhu kaalai", or watch Kamal Hassan do a "bala kanaga" dance from Salangai Oli! even a slog shot of Mark Waugh was like IR casually scoring a jolly number, or Kamal doing a "thakida thadhimi" from S.oli! personally for me (I have played quite a lot of cricket), Mark has been a source of inspiration to bat with the least economical of efforts and with elegance!
May his tribe not ebb and many more of his elegant/graceful likes grace the cricket field and enrich the game and give us ardent cricket fans an innate sense of aesthetics one rarely comes across in this game

Aswathama, since you are still keen on comparisons, this one is for you.
I would rather listen to a fresh, brilliant composition than a tired, listless one. So, while I am enthralled with Kathal Virus, you please go ahead and enjoy your Ramana. No one is stopping you.

Mr. Alavandhan:
Did I ask your opinion? I didn't think so. Anyways there are two tamil sayings "Kutramulla Nenchu Kurukurukkum" and "Enga Appan Kuthirukulla Illai". I don't have to elaborate more than that. You don't have to tell me what to listen to rather am i to u. If i ask you to eat good food, u are going to eat crap so go ahead and eat it.

If you don't want my opinion, don't post in a public forum.
What is good for you may be stale for me, if you get my drift.
Others, sorry for the digression.
I am out of here.

And Aswathama, please understand that the people who have been complaining about Ramana ARE IR fans. This may come as a surprise to you, but the average ARR and new song fan are hardly paying attention to IR's music these days.
Sorry, if this is too bitter for you.
Ciao!

Madhan:
I welcome yr post :) we can discuss it over mail. Sad to hear this news. Havent watched Mark live many times, as he played few against India. 2 things stand out - that 4th ball straight six on his knees off Ganguly at the oval, June 8, 1999..and before that, a flick off Akhtar for 4, picking the ball outside off stump..rest over mail :)

Hi Guys,
Ramana has some amazing songs. Don't compare with
IR's Devan. This is too good. I would say its
better than recent realeases, such as some crap from other music directors.

some of mark's memorable innings....
1. 1996 world cup matches (against India - he was just flamboyant and he took Sachin's wicket too).
2. 2001 series against WI (in an one day he scored > 150 runs and his innings was just terrific). It is the hightest by an Australian in an ODI.
3. The draw against SA - in which he remained unbeaten with a century(Remember Cronje episode).
He is a very very gifted player and elegant (like a Hooper in full flow (against Aus in 1997) or like a Lara in majestic form(against Aus in 1999 or Eng in 1994 or against SL in 2001).
If u ask me the top elegant players in the 1990s , Mark will surely be in the top-3 list.
sorry for digression guys,
