  Can some one confirm, I don't think TIME has 10 songs even in the CD it is only 6 songs, other 4 songs may be from a COMBO with the CD.

  Time cassette has only 6 songs with the last song being Niram Pirithu. The other songs are by Suresh Peters for some movie with the title carrying the opening words of a Lata song for IR. I got it, it is: Engirintho Azhaikkum etc...Songs are sung by Anuradha Sriram etc..

  Since Raja is doing the movie HeyRam: after it had been shot, I digged history a little thru some of my friends in the industry to see if any had done such things in the past, Yes I found a similar occasion, it was for Ulagam sutrum valiabam, i heard from few that the actual md for the movie was kunakudi-V'than, many scences were short and bought to India for editing, but due to political dog fights the films rolls were burnt by the oppostion party!, (you know who it is), later MGR approached MSV and told the same words kamal told, MSV did all the songs I think in few weeks - some were reshot, it is not easy to satisfy MGR, but still msv managed to do all the songs and all of them were mega-hits, including the one not in the movie.
  I am sure raja would also come up with something great, let us wait, but kamal is very crankish he might change things very fast!...hope for the best..

  BTW, have they modified the script of Hey Ram! to remove the `glorification' of the Mahatma assassins? Else, how can one describe Raja re-accepting the offer by KH? (Three possibilities: 1. Raja is in such a deep financial crisis 2. Raja has realised that at this moment, EVEN HE needs hype! 3. Raja has been given such a convincing reason by KH - like, if this doesn't see light, he'll be broken down into despair etc...)

  Most of your songs in IR Channel are not playing because the hyperlinks are given to some C:\\IE5.....blah...blah directory. Check that out and set it right, please.
  
  I assume you are using FRONTPAGE EXPRESS for your updates, which always messes up with hyperlinks. It is one of the poorest tool that you can rely for updates!!

  Regarding MSV's Ulagam Sutrum Valiban songs, it
  is true that Kunnakkudi was booked first and MSV
  later replaced him. But, as MSV mentioned once in his interview, MGR asked for songs from Japan specifying the locations and stuff and gave MSV only a very little time to compose. MSV only said that he composed those songs in a short span of time. Shooting took place after getting the songs from MSV. This is very similar to BR asking IR for "Vizhiyil Vizhundhu" song from shooting spot. I dont think MSV composed songs for which shooting already took place.
  You may want to check your "internal" sources again. :)

  Sedhu has been released, and I got some gross info from chennai that that songs are not upto IRs standards. Infact It has a lot of small songs and two songs sung by unni are the best. I think I need more confirmed reports.

  Time - Ilayairaja (Aruna Records, Rs. 39)
  
  If music has to be composed for a Prabhu Deva vehicle, then it must be perky and hip-hop. And if the composer is maestro Ilaiyaraja, the musicianship has to be canny and definitely in a different league.
  
  'Time' is.
  
  There is a strong element of jazz in most of the numbers. What is interesting about this album is that the songs are soothing while being very strong in rhythm, be it the folksy "Nenichapadi" (Unni Menon, Devan and Shubha) or "Muthu Nilavae" (Karthik Raja and Bhavatharani). One song that really stands out is "Niram Pirithu" (Sujatha) that drips in melody. The song has the feel of a 50s Tamil film song that is combined with big band jazz arrangements. The lyrics are by Pazhani Bharati.
  
  This album grows on you, and is a testimony to the fact that Ilayaraja is the master of melodies.
