Everything you always wanted to talk about ARR vs. IR but were afraid..

Too many posters are using other topics to discuss/slam/comment/praise IR/ARR that I thought we could use this one thread as a catch all for all those posts. Welcome guys!!!

  I agree with u that this debate should end here and nov B4 further damage to the image and reputation of both IR & ARR is imminent.
  But you have no right to impose your thoughts on others by saying JUST DONT GLORIFY HIM,HE DOES NOT DESERVE IT. Its upto each inivual.
  I wonder how many of the participants in this debate know composing music or has composed music at one stage or other!
  I find it hard to comprehend that the work of geniuses like IR @ ARR being discussed in this forum.I don't its right for us to adjudicate this topic.
  On the whole this tittle is a very very bad choice.
  
  Why is that we rely more on comparisons than individualism.Similarly 2 seperate topics could have been started-one for IR on its own and one for ARR on its own.
  I wonder if we ever explored the possibility of comparing FATHER VS MOTHER WHO IS BETTER or BROTHER VS BROTHER or SISTER VS SISTER!!!!!!
  Comparison should be made on success to inspire and aspire others.It should not be made to bring out dirt disgrace.

  IR is great at his time. But now ARR is great at this time. Both are great but actually at different times. We could not compare in between them.

  I have a good music sense...that's why I say IR is
  great...He composes in a depth...whatever it may whether it is indian classical or western classical
  or infian folk or dappanguththu....
  
  ARR should reduce drastically the usage of electronics musical instruments...ARR composes
  fusion with confusion....rap with crap....

  Greetings. I was never of such a forum available in the net.I saw all your responses to various opinions on IR/ARR debate.
  Regarding the choice of the topic which compares IR with ARR, or the vice-versa, there is nothing wrong in that.It is the methodology that matters.There are several criteria for assessment of one's musical creations. After reading your opinions I am not very clear what criteria you have applied to put forward your opinions on this sensitive topic for discussion.Could you kindly highlight certain criteria you might have applied for your assessment?

  Both IR and ARR are great music directors. IR's music can last for a long time. But current world changes very quickly. Thus people also want new invention rather than keep one thing for a long time. In this case ARR's music is more attractive than IR's music. As it is said ARR's music cannot listen more than 'x' number of times. But we have to be proud of both musicians.

  I think ARR is the greatest music composer these days. Nobody else can be compared with ARR. Beats, rhythm and the tune in most of his songs are simply superb. The songs in the recent films Jeans, Padayappa & Sangamam are very good ones . Chuthi chuthi & chikku eruthe in Padayappa and varaha nadikkaraioram & markazhi thingal in Sangamam are simply superb. Though ,varahanadikkaraioram resembles a song in Hindi, it has been very well tuned by ARR & sung by Shankar Mahadevan. I consider ARR as the greatest Music composer at present.

  If electronic technology could be employed in producing any music-why shouldn't one use it to the fullest extent.Are U implying that if the electronic instruments are used in lesser extent the music will sound better?
