  C.R.Madhusudhan, though I cannot comment over your likes/dis-likes, I wonder if you understood the scenario behind 'Aahaya vennilaavae'! I guess the scene you find sickening is the one in which Revathi-Prabhu pose like old film stars. Actually VKRamasamy imagines that scene. If you notice, Revathi imitates Saroja Devi (the way the flowers are placed and they way she positions her hands).
  I guess the song was *meant to be* hialrious - though its a melodious song.

  Poovae Sempoovae unn vaasam varum - this song was once extremely popular, movie got released after several hurdles (a karthik starrer - sollathudikudhu manasu). Oliyum OLiyum screened this song. We were so thrilled when we heard the voice of KJJ, rushed down to the set and lo!!!! RadhaRavi sings it on the stage with some 'thunai nadigargal/nadigaigal'. What a taste!! We hated it to the core and thereafter, it is so hard to even listen to this song, as each time, I get the picture of these people on the screen!!!

  You misinterpreted! I liked vkr's dream where prabhu imitated his dad and revathi imitated saroja devi ... it was comical. But prabhu & revathi's dreams simply sucked the song.

  ha!ha! sorry Madhusudhan, Infact, the picturisation of the second stanza where Revathi & Prabhu are dressed normally in a garden is nice (esp Revathi looks cute) but as you said, the last one where Prabhu is dressed (and dances) like a Robot - really sucks!
  
  I feel all songs in Kaalapaani (Sirachaalai) were picturised badly.
