  Hi,
  Regarding ESK's Background Score,it was told on Raj TV's Cine Diary ARR refused to compose the BGM only because he found the film terribly made.It seems that the script originally narrated to ARR was totally different from the one seen(rather not seen) in the film.However the Director of the film,in a film mag says that ARR composed the BGM,handed it to Sabesh-Murali for rccording since he was to go abroad.What seems silly is ARR has his own assistants and his own recording theatre.Why should he give it to Sabesh-Murali????

  bcos, he knows he can't handle that part. This is a new excuse found by him. Being his home production (of course under some other name, for obvious reasons) , he won't be foolish enough not to know what's going on.

  even if ESK's BGM is by S-M it doesn't mean that ARR's BGM would have made any difference, as i said earlier ARR is far behind IR when it comes to BGM (IMO)

  ESK's BGM is indeed by Sabesh-Murali, as shown in the credits.
  The BGM unfortunately doesn't synchronise with the rest of the movie, probably since the songs were done by another party.
  
  The songs picturisation of EDK was also bad, and I am told that ARR is quite particular about that.
  If I was ARR, I too would have refused to do the BGM, after seeing the movie. :-))
  
  A day may eventually come when the BGM is totally done independently of the score for the songs. We may be seeing the beginning of a new trend.

  I've seen Love Birds, Mr. Romeo. I was hoping for a great picturization of 'Mellisaiye...'.
  The song was terribly picturized, so does the love birds songs. Picturization is beyond the capability of the MDs.
  Other wise, we wouldn't have any flop movies, and bad songs at all.

  In hindi movies if u notice the title , they show MD - R D Burman and BG Score as somebody else and this is the case with any of Vishal Bharadwaj movies (satya MD- VB , BGM -sandeep chowta , chachi-420 MD -VB, BGM -deva!!!)

  Hi,
  Regarding Padayapaa ,Pyramid Audio's website says that the singers are SPB,Sriram(the guy who sang in ESK??),Nithyasri, Mano,Harini,Malesiya Vasudevan.Also in Hindi films only one person that I know of composes his own background score who is Aadesh Shrivasthav.Needless to say both songs and Bgm are rotten.

  Hrishikesh. Are you sure Aadesh composes his own Songs and BGM? I know atleast one instance where he composed from Deva's song. But then, who ever was talking about One's own ORIGINAL stuff, right? What price one kilo,what?I am not surprised... :))

  Is it the folk version of "Mercury pookkaL" ? I think it is. It is probably one of most cacophonous ingenuities of ARR. I was expecting a song as majestic as "oruvan oruvan", only to end up with one of Deva's standards. (Paatai kEttal imposition ezuthum feeling varugirathu) But, I am still confident that a melody maker of his calibre would have given atleast a good song in that movie.

  BTW., Do you really feel that song is of Deva's standards ???., I don't think so., it is well below average & IMO., poorest possible composition by a 'master of instruments' like ARR. Sorry makkaLee., naan solRathu kasappaa irunthaalum ithuthaan uNmai., ARR failed to make a good impression., I am still confused why Rajini gave him a chance ?.,
  Expecting other songs of Padayappa ( in particular 'Minsara kanna' by Nityashree )
