  For your reference ....
  
  1.In three roses it was karthik raaja who ha d planned the sequence of songs ,type and genre of songs .Songs were ordered ,instead of being inspired .( meaning the producer was least intrested in music )..worst Karthik raaja was cheated in money matters in that movie even before he complete dteh movie .SO what kind of inspiration can KR have in that movie ?Inspite of these ,he had given good songs in that movie .

  NagaS, you sound like a HCYSRF :-) Anyways , this being a thread for KR I dont want to debate much further here on this topic. Some closing comments. Suffice to say, that from my POV, YSR hasnt developed any sharply individualistic and consistent style that sets him apart from the other IR, ARR-wannabes out there, which is fine with me. But within the style/format he has been working with, he hasnt been as impressive as Vidyasagar, HJ and definitely nowhere as impressive as ARR has been in the last 1 or 2 years. He started off decently with Aravindan and had a few isolated good songs up until probably Dhina/thulluvadho Ilamai. Irrespective of the number of films he is working on(which is not a big parameter when it comes to talent evaluation) he still has ways to go, IMO, to be considered some kind of a new trendsetter. And thats when he would get to work with the Shankars and Manirathnams and Kamalhaasans of the film world. Right now, they dont even consider him as an alternative to ARR.

  Normal Man , I agree with you. Out of three, KR is favouring Bhava the most. In general,KR music per se is outstanding and interludes are refreshing, it is his singer selection requires improvement and many time that makes songs pretty bad. example rasiyamai (he himself killed a song).

  I wish, at least this Karuppan will fetch some credit to this talented young man. In almost,all the movies done by him, he puts his sincere and honest attempts, which gave some wonderful tunes and new kind of music. But this unlucky man has worked in many flop movies. Let this Karuppan be a hit and fetch some credit to KR.

  Another thing to notice is that, no director except Sundar C has gone back to KR after 1 movie. Looks like he is almost as difficult to get along with as his dad.
  
  But while IR can afford to be difficult, can KR do the same?

  Director KR has worked with KR for two movies: "Alexander" and "Enakkoru Magan Pirappaan".
  
  So far, none of the directors that KR kas worked for have complained or blamed anything on him.

  thats a fair point that u make. And Kalai, u r right - sorry I missed that.
  
  I was talking about directors like Azhagemperumal, Mani Shankar Iyer and Jerry-JD, for whom he had given some wonderful tunes, the first time around. But again I am not saying that it was a bad thing that these directors ignored him for their next movies, because their next ones were just terrible and met even worse fates at the box office.

  He is the director of the film 16 December in Hindi, which was a moderate hit. He recently directed another film 'Rudraksh'for which music was by SEL. But less said about this film, the better. And sorry Naga, it shud have been just Mani Shankar.

  KR is good for melodies but he is not good at rhythm based songs. This and his choice of insturments might be the reasons for his failures. Unless he does more rhythm based songs, it is doubtful he will succeed.
  
  Kudaikkul Mazhai's preview has nice background music though.
