The Perfect Love Duet

I have created this thread in order to find out what you guys think is the PERFECT LOVE DUET. By this, I mean a song that depicts Love between two people, lyrically and in the interludes. I would like to see your opinions on 'happy' love duets, where the lovers are overjoyed to have met their life partners.

One song that I can think of is:

Endhan Nenjil Neegaadha Thendral Neethaana from the film Kalaignan - MD, Ilayaraja. This song has a lovely melody(Nalinakanthi Raga, which is a very Happy sounding one), Extremely Rich orchestration, and I believe, really Lovely Romantic Lyrics.

  though the lyrics refer to questions, the music, mindlessly doesn't bring it out, and the output doesn't convey what the lyricist hoped to convey. this is a bane of music not being intune with the expressions of the lyrics.

  i agree with ur view that the lyrics' impact was lost, but i would like to add that imo, mano's singing also played a role, because he's one guy who sings just as what is expected of him, doesn't go that extra step. no creative input as a singer from him, unlike SPB or even IR (listen to siRu ponmaNi asaiyum or thuLLi ezhuthathu paattu, he's sung it with so much feeling).

  just a small story. i love IR's voice and for a time a couple of yrs back listened to that song endlessly. i always imagined it to be a great sad song to ease the pain.( like REM's 'everybody hurts'). last year i bought a song video and, blimee, you could've knocked me head off when i saw murali singing this as a love song. i still haven't seen the film. same with 'kavalukku saami undu, kanji ooththa bhoomi undu'. i was sore that it was only a title song. the visions i had expected.
