  You say, Vijay has a strong background. Even Chimbu has a strong background. I don't know whether the following news is true or not. He has been signed for a film to compose music. In my opinion, if Chimbu is groomed properly, he can work wonders.

  You're saying that if an actor has a background, that they will automatically do well. That's defintely not true. Yes it might have been easier for stars like Vijay, Surya, and Simbu to GET introduced in the industry. But they have to put in the hard work in order to establish themselves. If what you're saying is true, than BharathiRaja's son Manoj should have come up. Despite having a famous father he couldn't make an impact.

  Hi Maddy!
  I have been to Mumbai 4 times and whatever that city is, it is because of ppl from outside (good or bad). So if u say that if u can show me 100 Bihari and UP babus spoiling the city, I can show 100 who have toiled and made that city forward. This is true with all big cities and big movements. So it is true with arts too. If tamil cinema had only Ajith, Madhavan and Vikram, then it would be very boring and monotonous. Anyways, it is my own personal not so humble opinion.

  well even i accept that UP and biharis have worked for the city but they have done more bad than good.....neways Mumbai is not my hometown ,so i'm not that senti abt. tht place.....
  Sify, u made a valid point, not all star sons succeed, but while comparing star's sons and normal ppl. like Maddy,SRK then definitely Maddy and SRK shuld get a higher rating than them.......cos star's sons have everything done for them and they are way ahead in the race of other upcoming talented artistes......

  Sharukh Khan is in a league of his own. He can't be compared to Madhavan. Madhavan still has so much to learn. I'm not saying he's bad, I like Madhavan's simple acting. I absolutely agree with you that it's easy for people to come into the industry when the have godfathers to guide them. But I don't think that should overshadow their success. I mean, who knows, Sivakumar was against Surya entering the film industry, and he only approved when Surya took control of his own career. Surya says that he didn't depend on his father at all. Whether that's true or not is another story. It unfair to say that one hasn't worked hard because of the sole fact that their father or brother is a director or something.

  I forgot to mention Surya in my previous post,he is someone to be recokened with.In fact he shares a strong similarity with Ajit in that from 1997(Nerukku Ner) to 2001(Nandha) he was a nobody but has risen dramatically in the last 3 years.His skills have also improved but thats natural-if you spend 7 years doing a particular work the proficiency is bound to come in unless you happen to be MGR.Along with Vikram,Vijay,Ajit,Dhanush,Simbu&Madhavan Surya also finds a place as the one of the new generation stars.
