Malare Mounamo - from Karna is a great tune from Vidyasagar.

Mano: Aval Varuvala's MD was Deva....He did a fairly good job with three of the songs, 'Kadhal Enna Kanaamoochi'-SPB, 'Selaiyile Veedu Kattava'-Unni and 'Oh Vandhadhu'-Hari......

Sure it's great. But he repeat that tune in 'Nilave Vaa'. THe song is Nee Kaatu Naan..

Mano: Good observation, My album is by Pyramid too(no one else released it in the UK).....Deva must have done the flip side.....Notice that the 'jukebox' people have made the same mistake....
http://www.mail-bag.com/jukebox.shtml/
It has a picture of the Songs names and the MD as Deva in the heading, but it says SAR on the top....
But, I wouldn't say that Vidhyasagar has repeated Malare Mounama as Nee Kaatru, however, he has used some of the same instruments and similar interlude structure...."but who doesn't"....also, it's the fact the he's chosen to use the Ragam DHARBAARI KAANADA for the song which gives it similarity....

yeah, nee kaattru naan maram is reminiscent of malare mounamaa, but i also detected starains of an old number from nenjirukkum varai that goes muththukkulo kanngal. the line "kanni pennai mella mella thenral thaalaatta" and the subsequent ones are the ones that gave me the feeling. do all the songs share some raga funda? stalwarts pls en ariyaamaiyai poakkuveeraaga.
