  I bought barathi CD yesterday. Once again IR proves only he can give fresh new tunes to listen. No echoing, no tamil kolai and no abaswaram. Especially Ethilum sung by Madu is an excellent song. Based on Bubalam ragam that song made me to listen several times and it haunts u. Given good directors he proves his worth. I hope the current generation so called MDs leave their ego and learn from IR about giving music instead of noise.

  Guys got to attend svsekar drama at MD,Bharathi CD was also on sale there, i found a notice there about screening BHARATHY at laurel theatres MD on the coming weekend and the next one, i dont have much details, ANY md/dc guys who knows the info can help by giving the info, sad scene after the show was over i still found some bharathi cd unsold, i cant imagine the same happening if that had been rhythm cd's.

  Correction: Its (barathi CD) is going to be on sale in the Shiva Vishnu Temple auditorium not the murugan temple as I had stated earlier.

  I don't think the theatre guys have any ideas of screening Bharathy here. May be B.K. should take an interest in this.

  why so bad reviews for ilayavan music?. I found it good. Was it any worse then deva, sar dirty copy stuff. There was review in indiainfo saying its old tunes, i send a mail asking which were those so old songs.. no reply.

  I want to give Kudo's the Raajangam folks. The audio samples they have for the rare song collections are just great.
  
  It was the first time I noted that there are four songs in the movie "HouseFull" released in '99. I thought the movie had no songs. Can you guys in the admn. at Raajangham ask IR to release the songs in CD.
  
  Similarly, it was news for me on the Paavalar creations movie that was not released. The SPB solo song sounds great. I have the same request as the previous one.
  
  Great job, Guys! The features on Shrutibedham and Melakartha raagas in Raja's music is very educative. Kudos! Keep it up!

  I recently picked up an an album called "Kaathalai Gauravikkum Neram", by IR and KR. 8 songs, of which 6 are by KR. mmmm....ok pop album, but nothing great.

  I just checked with Asian Cinema and Elaine Cinema, both in Scarborough. Neither one of them are showing Bharathy.
  
  The guy at Elaine said that they are expecting Bharathy soon, but could not give me a date.
  
  I will check with Woodside Cinema in Scarborough as well. They usually show only Hindi movies.
  
  At least there's hope:-)

  hi fellow IR visiris,
  Do you guys remember this Balumahendra's hindi movie 'Aur Ek Pyar Khahani' which came out around 1996-97? It had IR's old tamil songs like the Johny 'Katre', manvasanai songs etc,.. all recorded in hindi and the other side of the audio tape had the instrumental version of the same songs. Can anyone tell me where i can find those songs on the web or any web site where I can buy this CD from.

  ARR veetila kodhikkalaya? If he gives quality songs for every movie he does, then even if the quantity is not high, he can still make a lot of money.
  
  Look at the list of movies from Kasthuriraja to date ... except for a couple of decent songs in "En Rasavin Manasule" and the hit (does not mean I liked it) "Otha Rooba Tharen" .... no quality songs at all. And the already inane songs are spoilt by his stupid lyrics. And just as you are wondering if things can get any worse, the picturization make the song sound even stupider... you get the picture right?

  Some more on IR, the pioneer in Indian Film Music:
  
  Iliayaraja is credited with recording a Tamil song in stereo. At the time when music didn’t have the decoration of today’s technology, Ilaiyaraja was keen on making his sound a unique one.
  
  In the process, he introduced the stereo concept to south Indian ears. His first stereo recording was for the film, Priya. There are about five songs in this film.
  
  The recording was done at Bharani Studios, Chennai. The equipment was borrowed from Tharangini Audio Company, which is owned by KJ Yesudas. This was sometime in 1979.
  
  The song Ennuyir Needane is sung by Jency and KJ Yesudas, Akkara Seemai is by KJ Yesudas, Darling Darling by P Susheela, Yae Paadal Ondru by S Janaki and Yesudas, and Oh Priya by KJ Yesudas

  IMPORTANT NEWS....yesterday(Friday) i was listen malaysian tamil radio they were put nice song around 1:00pm to 2:pm..but when they nearly want to end that program(about 3 minutes before) they put a marvelous piece of symphony music..i listen it carefully...in my heart think that it could be ARR music....BUT suddenly the host of this program inform that this is a piece os IR symphony..i amazed...i'm sure that is not from either Nothing but wind or How to name it because i have it both myself...
  
  i realy want to that any other form malaysia were listen it...

  Steven Spielberg about the john williams..I guess the same holds for raja
  
  I've always felt that John Williams was my musical rewrite artist. He comes in, sees my movie, rewrites the whole thing musically, and makes it much better than I did. He can take a moment and just uplift it. He can take a tear that's just forming in your eye and he can cause it to drip.
